Funniest or most embarrassing in game death

Thought this might be a fun topic to lighten the mood from all the serious business discussions that seem to be going on in the forums at the moment. As the title what is your most embarrassing or funniest death in game.

To get things going I will tell mine:

Flying towards a station to dock and start to feel that tickle in your nose that means you are about to sneeze. Tried to stop it but just as I was about to line up and fly gracefully through the letterbox slot the sneeze hits and its a multiple one. Thing is voice attack interpreted the sneeze as the command for boost which completely fubars my approach so I pancake into the side of the station and ship go boom. So mine is death by sneezing

Looking away from the screen to visit the forums on my IPad only to look back and realize I'd crashed into the side of a station. In an Asp. With a full cargo of rares and silver.

That stung a bit.

I was shooting canisters at a nav becon waiting for ships to hop in. I was not targeting them, just shooting them. The last one I went for was not a canister, it was the nav becon. I was going full speed in my Viper and plowed right into it. Lost 200-300k in bounties.

I use my ship commands by Voice, there I was mining my X45 is a bit violent so I say STOP the sexy voice say's repeats STOP!! I have a nearly full hold of realy good stuff PLAT,PALLAD,GOLD, I am tied just this last trip, nearly done, stop stop I cried she didn't and I hit asteroid at full with power to weapons not shields...BOOOOM total loss, and me no claims out the window. lol lol

approached a station and boosted around it since i got dropped on the wrong side of the station using the voice attack command (hit it) i programmed to it. admittedly i did not think much about the fact i had my 2 year old in my lap and that girl must have some parrot in her lineage somewhere (mom's side i think

) Apparently my girl liked the phrase and proceeded to repeat it ,rather clearly, as i was *almost* aligned with the mail slot in fairly close proximity. VA taken care of the rest and my girl seemed to enjoy the resulting fireworks.

Edit:
i admittedly could have given her away right then but in retrospect, it was really funny and when she giggled at the explosion i just could not be mad at her.
that and the insurance did cover it (funny, how fast you get used to *THAT* phrase once you become a parent)

I took on a mission to get combat stabilizers for a Coriolis station. They were prohibited there. Wasn't easy to find them in the first place but when i returned to the station i decided to just fly in fast trying to avoid being scanned. Well so i made sure to drop out of SC fairly aligned. Requested landing clearance quick and hit boost repeatedly. "Ship Scan Detected". Oh oh - faster. Hit boost one last time nearly going thru the entrance. Made it in without the scan completing. Rear wall coming closer at an alarming speed. Full retro throttle. Gears extending. Trying to break. Too late. Smashed my type-6 right into the rear wall. Time to pay insurance.

Should have taken a cheap sidewinder for that. I also had 800Kcr cargo on board ...

So I misjudged my speed docking and stick it in reverse to back up to land.

Spent some time at station and the hit the launch button.

Always take off full throttle and lateral thruster up, but I was still in reverse thrust (dunno why they changed it from when you always launched forward thrust no matter what way you landed).

So I quickly stab at the toggle thrust button, but heres the thing when the X52 throttle is full forward the angle of the buttons change so the boost button is now where the thrust toggle was and I'm hurtling at the station wall.

I so nearly made it through the exit it was like one of the snooker shots where the ball rattles in the pocket but sadly doesn't drop in.

And there we have it 2mil and countless unclaimed bounties lost and my first insurance claim since the end of beta, annoyed but but my fault for not concentrating.

I haven't done this for a while, but at least two times in the past, as I've lifted off from my landing pad inside a station, I've spotted another player and thought to myself 'What would make an impressive specticle for the other commander? I know, I'll boost right past him and straight out the letterbox. They'll love it! The roar of the engines, the sleek Viper flashing past.'

Well they certainly got a great show, more of a fireworks show, as I crash straight into the bulkhead surrounding the slot and explode.

Funny, embarrassing and really stupid.

I'd say I will never do it again but we all know that would be a lie.

Mining, almost filled up on gold and platinum, when I accidentally hit the boost button - a few million tons of asteroid crushed my Hauler like a bug.

Ever since then, I mine with my cargo scoop out. That way, nothing happens if I hit boost by mistake.

I'm cruising in my clipper, I've wanted it forever since beta and I finally had the means and rep to buy one. Bought it, decked it out, modded my GUI... I was loving it. I was dropping by Altair to pick up some rares and I spotted a CMDR in a Hauler docking. I decided to show off so I swooped underneath him doing ~250 in the station. I underestimated the momentum I was carrying and clipped one of my wings on a control tower and instantly exploded, right on his dock as he was gingerly moving forward to land.

Must have been a funny sight for him.

I feel you pain.

Take some consolation in the fact that you did acheive in giving him a great spectacle.

Hope my Clipper doesn't go the same way when I get it.

Got squashed by an Anaconda entering a station, I was on the green side as far left as i could be, and he (could have been a she) drifted over and squashed / grinded me against the wall. Cant complain because once I have an Anaconda I will probably do the same thing.....

LOL. I had just landed my Cobra last night when I hear the screeching of an Eagle overhead going at full chat. The Eagle then smashed into the rear of the station and exploded. Pretty sure it was another commander. I laughed.

Funniest : knocking the throttle whist pouring a fresh drink and losing my cargo to the station wall.
Most embarassing : not noticing the interdiction was a player not an npc and wondering where my shields an hull went....

Well, in this story I didn't die, but was left with 4% hull and no shields.

I've been bounty hunting for fun and profit this week, and it was getting pretty late so I went back to the station for the night. I line up, fly through, then as the messages start appearing and the countdown begins I realize I didn't request permission! Acting quickly, and since I was juuuuust past the letterbox, I don't move my ship and instead hit the reverse thrusters. I clear the letterbox and then the toaster rack with seconds to spare. Whew!
Then I hear/feel it.

*clang!*

I backed into an incoming L9. I'm spinning out of control wondering if this is it, when he brushes me again! The fat cow just kept going! Well, I disentangled myself from the station entrance and lined up with the entrance again, and made sure I requested permission to dock this time. Hit the pad with 4% hull and 114k in bounties that I'd nearly lost.

It was still embarrassing, even if I DIDN'T die.
