Pirating, PvP and Greifers

I wonder how many threads almost exactly like this one (or close enough not matter) have been made in the past 6 months. Always the same discussion always the same talking points and meaningless phrases, always circular arguments. Round and round and round we go! Again.

Good Job OP!

No, not really.

-1 rep because that is really sad and because your also making the list of complainers lol

Actually, to be honest, I'm quite surprised the mods let them go on as long as they do. Maybe because it is new people so the arguments are new to them.

O no not the negative rep! Anything but negative rep! :)

As usual you make a good point Joe. I take back half of the things I said about the OP.

And again ive been viewing thease posts for a while now befor i played the game myself so i never had a comment cause i didnt know ans now i do know and now i can make a legit comment instead of speaking out my A**,

Hey Father Christmas says it's ok to pirate in Elite because it's only a game and ashamedly he is partial to a bit off piracy himself

FD have tried to hold back griefing by removing clean ship deaths from your tally and increasing bounties against those that do it. There was also mention of discreetly flagging griefer type players that consistently kill clean players into their own class of instance where they are more likely to meet others like them along with bounty hunters. Whether the latter was implemented yet I don't know. But apparently the game does track certain types of unwanted PvP behaviour.

There are places where PvP is allowed, I'm sure everyone has noticed that without a scanner everyone in Anarchy space comes up clean. Conflict zones are another place where you choose sides and can play PvP, though until you choose a side NPC's will not fire at you.

If all pirates played the role closer to what FD intended and the OP posted. I expect more people would play open. Not all PvP is griefing. Unfortunately the game doesn't help much, in it's current state the coms are flakey and forming any dialog with another player can be quite difficult. Hopefully things will improve early next year after the holidays and the devs get time to do more than just fix bugs.

:) this guy is ace really making me laugh while i'm still here working  never mind 10 mins to go. Keep drinking the xmas sherry Op.

Ya your def safe, but dont plan on making to much money trading in a viper lool

Hehe. You're not kidding, but anticipating playing this for years so my credit/hour performance is irrelevant :) although investigating USS spawns is reasonably lucrative (by my very low standards). Will probably move up to cobra eventually but my playtime demands I have enough in the bank to pay for several respawns.
Basically, no rush. Point being if you can afford to die several times then you're not terribly upset by it. Last death was a result of my own incompetence when I hit the boost button at the wrong moment. Being killed by another player wouldn't be nearly as embarrassing :)

Indeed, on the one hand you have people that want to enjoy the game the way it was designed to be played, on the other you have a bunch of people not happy to get involved and even though every precaution has been added to prevent then having to get involved they still moan about the others that do want to get involved. they then make up names to bash them down with.

Round and round...

Full on good and some other liquid stuff i took out my viper thats golden i call her the golden c... ....admit i was flying high and low ...then this cmdr apperd ...dizzy as i was ...Clarkson would be happy cuz i used POWER ....deployed handeld my beautiful ..golden c ...fired and 10s it took me to bring the cobra pirate driven ship down ...cmdr x ...and it was waaaay easy...my satifsctin when he started to rant ...called me a cheater...so my thought is ...pirates this bad ...this be easy ...

So the talk of pirating has come up in a few posts and i would like to clear a few things up, Pirating is not greifing and is a very esential part of the PvP of this game ive done some pirating and when you do it smart you dont get bounties and it can be very profiable, the people who seem to think of pvpers as greifers are the ones who start attacking said pirate as soon as they come out of interdiction, if you fire on us you will DIE.... so please wait for your FSD drive to power up and we will most def contact you and describe what you can do to survive this situation.

1. We will get very close as the closer we get the longer your FSD drive takes to Spool up.
2. If your in an adder please dont think you can take on a cobra you will most likely lose.
3. We will give you our demands be patient.
4. And most of all please co-operate we do not want to kill you. Altho we obviously will if need be.
5. Having to give up half your cargo is better then all of it And Losing your ship! Isnt it?

If your looking to becomr a pirate you need the following things

Cargo Hatch Breaker, Frame Shift Interdictor, Limpets dont forget thease they make your cargo hatch breaker work, and a cargo bay, Get very close to your target if they are trying to get away as being really close acts almost as a mass lock that takes forever for their FSD to charge when your 200km on their tail, and most of all follow the pirate code or guidlines or whatever. if you want ot be **** and kill people neways, well thats not my problem. "Some People Just Want To Watch The World Burn"

Also Pirating is not Greifing, And open play is scary be warned

Once my FSD drives have spooled up... I'ma gone baby! Hasta la vista socker :D

Pirates really needs CR transactions.

"ransom 150k, u hve 10sec"

(ransom amount is ship insurance - 10%)
