Those that have been here since alpha went through many wipes & even with my 200 million traded i wouldn't even care if they wiped i'm here for the long haul, whats a few weeks play when you'll be playing for years? :)

Personally I have a life that's about to get busy again in a few days and while I've enjoyed the working my way up the whole through beta and gamma ... and I didn't mind the wipes before... Yeah. No. You guys are masochists.

Someone didn't read the EULA. They can wipe whenever they want and you have no recourse. You don't own your save, they do.

I assume it is because this is the internet and we can all make outlandish claims and threats under the cloak of anonymity that encourages certain people to do and say even dumber things than they would in reality.

The majority of players don't even browse the forums or keep up with the news, a post-launch wipe would be a PR nightmare without hope of recovery.
I can see a rollback being the worst case scenario.

Stocked up on popcorn just in case though.

A rollback is instant death for this game, either way.
It will never happen because.....
It will also only strengthen the fact the game was never ready for release.
False advertising made to sell goods is in breach of every consumer law I've ever read.
Fairly certain this has not changed in the last 5 years.
Great thing is, the Internet keeps all the data forever.
Like I have said before, game developers need to be held responsible.

There will be no wipe. Logic will prevail and I am sure FD have lawyers capable of coming to the same conclusion.

Yay there is hope for the human race yet, I was beginning to think otherwise.

Sure, go ahead and do it. At this point I honestly wouldn't care that much. If they actually fixed all the exploits before, I'd actually welcome a wipe.

I see no "false advertising" the devs stated several times that wipes could -in extreme circumstances- take place and it is also discussed in great detail along with the range of other complaints that people make like 24/7 online servers, all covered in the Elite: Dangerous EULA and Terms of Use.

I do not think they will wipe anyway, i was answering the OP -rollback possibly- but i assume there will be no wipe.
