Waiting for StarCitizen

I am waiting for Star Citizen too because I love space games and I will probably play them both and enjoy them for different reasons just like I enjoy X3 and Mass Effect – different games but set in space.
I wonder why the op flipped out like that because I think it a bit sad to see a fellow gamer get so disillusioned that they behave like their rage will actually make any difference.

I can't give you a long life or happiness, but may your further adventures be somewhat more compliant with expectations, if at all possible. There might be hope for improvement yet, but remember that hope is the first step on the road to disappointment. :)

Its amusing watching the PR goons scramble eh

maybe if you provided some details of the issue you have with the game we could give you some real answers, just saying that FD are crooks and that everyone who disagree's is a PR goon isn't doing you any favors.

and no, this thread will be closed as a rant/troll thread and sink like a stone never to be seen again.

maybe someone will see my thread and decide how to spend their hard earned money.

Or join in laughing at someone who is obviously either 1) a really bad troll or 2) an idiot who can't even point out what is wrong with the game he hates or the company who makes it.

call me names to ban my speech hitler, how sick

Well if the glove fits...

Shocked at all the toxic replies baiting the OP and nothing is done about it...

You all need to hold your heads in shame.

Honesly the toxic replies started after he became an even more obvious troll and started calling them criminals and calling people PR goons.

Oh for god's sake don't say that. We don't need more whining nonsense here. Let him go wait for SC: that's great. I'm waiting for it too!

Looking back at his recent forum activity it seems his chief complaints are lack of ships at the moment and the fact that he was killed for unpaid fines, which I'm guessing turned into bounties?
He also went on a tirade, slinging names and naughty words around.

I'm also a SC backer. I don't see why both games can't be enjoyed.

In fact, I'm not sure if I missed something but I literally read next to nothing about Elite Dangerous (old Elite player, C64) and I just bought it and somehow I knew not to expect a completed game because I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it was still under development.

This is from the Store, which makes it pretty obvious the game is still being developed:
This release of Elite: Dangerous will not mark the end of development. We intend to continue expanding the game both with new content and new features. A good example of this is planetary landings. We have an ambitious goal for landings to include new gameplay and a rich variety of worlds to explore. To achieve our goal we want the planets to come to life. We also want to add leaving the ships so you can explore space stations or board enemy vessels or even just to look around your own. We intend to release small, free updates but major expansions including rich new features will be charged for, unless you have bought the expansion pass
I'm a backer for SC too. I'm playing and enjoying both games in their not quite complete states.

Nah in SC you can get your ship back, for the low, low cost of $1,500.

That's not really true. Pledging in SC will automatically unlock various ships for you (as well as the game itself) when you start the game but all ships in SC can be purchased in-game with in-game currency which you obtain by playing the game much like ED.

As far as insurance, ships aren't quite free depending on the insurance you've purchased. And definitely not free, if you have no insurance. Again though, this is speaking in terms of in-game currency.

All in all, I've been waiting for A LONG TIME for games of this magnitude to be released, plus I'm an old Elite fan as well. And now after all this time spent with lack-luster space sims we get two? How great is that?

Did you just refer to FD as criminals then also claim to waiting for star citizen(65mil raised and still microtransactions for better ships)? If so Im not sure you understand what a criminal is. All the best luck to you though.
You know Star Citizen's not finished and those "microtransactions" are basically a donate button, right?

Are people allowed to post negative things about the game here? Are people allowed to write their opinion of the game here?

You do realise that Chris Roberts backed this as well right? What gets me other than the fact that well your basically troll posting which is against the rules, is your refusing to back up your claim.

IF you believe that you have to pay real money for more ships than I'm sorry your mistaken, they have been very clear that there WILL be 30 ships in the game that are all purchaseable with IN GAME credits and you will not have to pay any real money to get them nor will you ever have to.

They have also been clear that over the next few months items will be added to the game, for FREE as they continue to flesh out more of the game.

If you choose to believe every person is a PR goon that is up to you... but if were all PR goons then heck those like myself who are known to have taken FDev to task for things like their lack of communication on removal of single player etc are really poor PR goons.

Enjoy the Silver foil hat.
