Sorry all, found another issue - update on it's way out - let it update to 4.2.0.3 and it should be ok!

Apologies for that - I'll need to check back the logs and see what was up with the IIS servers.

Restart the BPC - let it download the update, and then restart again.

BPC, don't you ever leave us hanging like this again....

- Known systems: 1122 (Had about 4900 before the last update, comparing with a pal who's got about 5000) How do I get it up to speed?

Hi

When you do a from-to search I've noticed since an early version 4 release it never applies the commodity filter from the combo box, I've found using the right click filter works, but it would be nice if this could be corrected

Also I've seen a number of crashes on Win 8.1 x64, not sure why. Sometimes hangs, sometimes exceptions.

The system count is also only at 564 since the latest update, it was at 3600, is that OK or is it some sort of issue?

It's still awesome though

I've got 4.2.0.3 in but Parsing is running at about 11secs per 1% ... 10 mins or so

Updated to 4.2.0.3 , slowest parsing ever.. only 16% after 'round 15min.. Anyway thanks for you work

Edit : deleted both .db files in the program directory , now it's fine 100 % in less than 3 min

Using this in Local Mode...

Updated to the latest version...

It said it was downloading Current Market and got to 100% but has now stalled.

The "Auto Update" box is ticked (which it wasn't obviously before the update as I was in local mode).

The program is now "parsing" and has been for over an hour and I can't do anything about it.

I am worried that if I delete the db's in the program directory I will lose all the data I have entered manually over the last while.

I am hoping that it will sort itself out as the status bar at the bottom currently says "known Systems 65" which is about what I have entered.

Any thoughts as to how to get out of this with my local db intact?

I'm aware of it, I've had other things to worry about, but it is on the cards for a fix asap.

Yes, uncheck "auto-updates", quit the BPC. Then delete ED4.db from the BPC directory and copy ED4.backup to ED4.db. Then restart the BPC. That'll keep all your data intact - the BPC always backs-up ED4 when you start it.

If you don't need to keep historic data, delete ED4.db and restart it.

I can't untick "auto Update" as the whole bottom half of the screen is greyed out as if it is still doing something.

The status bar at the bottom says Next Update in 295s Downloading Current Market 100% and has been this way for a long time now.

I am also concerned that my data has already been blatted as I tried closing and re-starting the application to see if it would free up. both the ED4.backup.db and the Ed4.db are the same size at 23641KB and timed 15 mins apart (approx when I restarted).

Turkish yeah? There's something with the BPC which doesn't support Turkish language - I have no idea what it is, but it's on my list to look at it. Meantime, only US/EN is supported.

Ok then. Copy your ED4 backup file somewhere else - like the desktop. Delete ED4.db, restart the BPC, uncheck auto update, then copy your backup over ED4.db.
