Someone claims to have reached ELITE status

The math doesn't work -even if combat bonds where still 1000 per kill, 1812000 divided by 1000 does not equal 8220.

EDIT - He may have a massive amount of unclaimed combat bonds, as he never died.
He tweeted something about some glitch where he can't turn him in some of his combat bonds, so that explains it.

Probably was practicing vulture tactics. dig around in the available targets, find the one that's at half hull with shields down, blap him, and move to the next one that's almost dead.

just play your own games guys, it's not a race!
oh wait, £10,000!
he must be a CHEATING B@RSTOOL!

Strange, if the image is not a fake, it is proof that for your combat rating, it does not need for the targets to have a bounty on them. For I am close to 1000 bounties claimed and still Expert.

I'm a bit disappointed it took so little time. I suppose we live in a world of "achievement grinding", though.

It can also be 1 or 2 people grinding it out 24/7 remember. That's how most of these firsts are done in MMO's for example.

Look at Combat Bonds. He killed 8k ships in Conflict Zones.

I do not understand the googlespreadsheet at all.

His "credits spent on" numbers are ridiculously low, as well.

You need Triple Elite status to claim the prize. But if he can do it in one, he can do it in the others too.

Edit: Just read the note again, I'm wrong.

Sitting in a capitol ship warzone with no ammo weapons, shooting targets a few times before the capitol blows the target away inside of a Viper would do that.

A sad after effect to the 10 second buffer for kill credit with npcs.

Re read the terms to the contest.

He can cash out one Rank (Or two), but this would make him illegible for the tipple elite prize.

Are you using a kill warrent scanner? You can be awarded mutilple bounties per kill.

Yup, It's just enough to kit out a Viper. Which is all you need for pew pew.

It's rather disappointing if true, wasn't expecting an Elite for months if not a year.

Far more interesting milestones were reached far sooner (and far too soon) - certainly won't lose any sleep over a straight up grind number being hit - very surprised it's taken this long to be honest.

if elite took a dedicated 16h/day grinder an entire year, it would be absolutely unobtainable for everyone else.

To put this in perspective, if it took an entire year, the guy would still be harmless, maybe mostly harmless. You'd be harmless with a thousand kills. Do you think that's appropriate progression?

The game hasn't been out a month, don't you think getting Elite this early devalues the rank?
