NPC'S Gone Haywire Since 1.04

Judge by yourself. Its one of many i encountered since this morning.

Nothing new there, they've been like that since i joined on beta, or am i missing something here? o_O

I kinda like watching those dumb-npc-pilots, always give me one of those "weird glad" moments because they aren't "perfect" and end up having durr moments as they struggle to get in/out of a station/landing-pad.

And i think you know what i mean here, every game where NPC's never miss, never die, never make errors (outside of bugs) just make the game worlds look.... "too perfect to be true".

I Know its not new... But never saw a Type 9 banging into walls like that. Seems like the AI took a vacation.

Maybe, just MAYBE, the 1.04 fixed the ability of NPC to jump the hyperspace from inside the station and this guy here was at first surprised that he cant do that and then tabbed out and was filling a ticket? :D

Yeah iv been seeing that for a while. Infact a couple of days ago I saw a AI Cobra at the back of a station, hiding under one of the internal station supports. I'll have a look for the picture as it made me chuckle:)

And this is exactly why you cannot trust a docking computer. The AI cannot dock properly so how well you think your new automated script is going work?

It will work badly, thats what.

And OP, been seeing this kinda thing since new years day when I first started playing so its not patch specific.

Yeah, about half of the NPC Type-9s I've ever seen docking/undocking have had a hard time grasping the dimensions of their craft. "I'm not usually this big! I could fit yesterday! NO I'm not blocking the exit, you shrank it! Oh god, I can't lose my 500 tons of pachinko machines over this. Boost!" *boom*

If you're ever idling in the hangar and you hear the station's lasers firing non-stop for about a minute, that's probably another NPC Type-9 pilot who never passed his license test.

Maybe they've based the NPC docking off real-life players now?

They observe.. and learn
If 'learn' is the right verb here

Yeah usually accompanied by "This cannot be happening to me!" in comms

Ha......when I left Crampton a wee while ago I was heading to my jump target and thought there was zigzagging on my monitor...........very similar to the old 'etch a sketch' game thing from hundreds of years ago......thought my new monitor was on it's way out........as I got closer I noticed it was a small interstellar craft......sidewinder.........I targeted it and watched as it zipped about all over the shop..........wished I'd video'd or screen shot'd it.............hilarious.
Incidently anyone else having issues with screenshots..........F12 doesn't do squat.........???
