Hi All

V4.2.1.1 is now available. If your BPC doesn't update automatically (it may not due to a bug in 4.2.1.0) please get it from here: http://www.slopey.com/ED/BPC.exe

Fixed in this version:

Fixed distance data not saving
Fixed timezone offset not saving - please set it after updating
Auto-new-version-update is back on
Right-click on BPC results sets To/From and stations correctly
'Swap' button now works correctly for stations
Stations now populate correctly for systems loaded from settings on startup
Added G13/G15/G19 support! Shows current location, time since update and known stations, also top 3 or 6 (G19) trades by distance by profit (will be scrollable soon), and flight log
Added Galnet RSS News feed
If the selected system in To/From has no data, it is shown as red
Fixed the "Index out of range" issue on a with distance multi-select search

Hi Slopey,


Getting unhandled exception (unable to connect to the remote sever) if my internet is down. No big deal, just restart BPC when its back up.

Also its not saving Credits or Cargo capacity unless I import my old user.config settings from previous versions. Have tried with fresh ED4.db still the same.


This is with V4.2.1.1

Nice. Any idea when return commodity feature will be back?

ps. Every update seems to reset my settings, like credits, cargo capacity and timezone. Not a problem, just to let you know.

Nope. Resolution is 1920x1080. No dice.

I always have very good detection results. Only when I screw up myself (cut of half a line or forget to remove the highlight) I get bad data.

Everything works except the bpc.

EDIT:
Was a bad mirror file for eliteOCR, works now. :D

I'm really tired of going hundreds of Lys far just to find something that was mistyped, misspelled, misread! Please, if you want to use this tool, pay attention when feeding the database. At the moment I'm looking for a station that doesn't even exist. And in a station that shares part of the name, the prices are all wrong. PLEASE!

Little bug notification. I was happily exporting your data for post-processing, when I realised the file I export to was already open. BPC crashed, but I'm afraid I reacted too quickly and close the error message before thinking.

That just says you already had it open. Ensure you close it after you export before you try and overwrite it I guess. I'll put some error handling around it for the next update.

Yeah, perhaps something can be implemented to check for errors, especially for pricing. Like if the unit price or unit sell is x% different from other stations in the same system, or y% from the galactic average, it can prompt the user or show it in red to double check that entry before saving the data.

When adding price data into the tool for a station, in the "Sell" field, do I need to enter what I can sell the item to the station for...or what the station would sell it to ME for. Not quite clear on whether I'm entering data properly or if I am getting the sell/buy fields reversed. Thanks.

....I had it originally when just updating so deleted the program and re-installed and it's still there? Any ideas?

The "Sell" field in Slopey's is what you Sell to the station. This value should be less than the Buy Price for that same station. If it's reversed, the station is losing money :)

Perhaps that's another thing the tool can check for to prevent mistakes.
