I think the lack of a sense of humour shown in that article will damage Hawick's reputation far worse than its inclusion on GTA5. To me it seems like a cynical attention-grabbing exercise more than genuine concern, though.
I don't imagine too many people will be confused about the difference between a borough in a fictional re-imagining of Los Angeles, and a rural town in Scotland! People can surprise you sometimes though. 
I haven't picked this up yet, but I shall be getting it next week and much fun will no doubt be had! I was a little disappointed with GTA IV, but they have also released Red Dead Redemption since then, which in my opinion is the best game they have ever created. Between that and the review scores coming in I have a lot of faith!

loving it so far, spent more time just looking around the enviroments and taking in the sights.
so far had a topless lapdance,
got killed my a couger
taken a cable car ride to the top of a mountain and then base jumped of it.
tried a hit and run on a cop and the law won.
taken a ride in the blimp.
rode the ferris wheel and roller coaster.
played tennis.
had a race in a plane.
but through out all this im still sitting there being totally blown away buy the graphics.

There will be a whole other online mode where you create your own character. Brothel Madame might be an option, but we won't find out until it goes live in october
I'm really enjoying my time so far, and have unlocked the third character. Mostly doing missions, but gave had a bit of an explore, and. Nice night time ride on the Ferris wheel. Again, it's a gorgeous game, even with some pop in

Got this yesterday for the 360, it was the last box in the shop.. it sort of magically ended up in my hand. Just got all three characters, and have had a ball. A couple of Michaels missions are just out of this world.. been a long time since I genuinely smiled and giggled so much. Not so keen on Franklyn, seems the weakest character, but it's early days. Trever is just mental.

While doing the food shop in Morrisions i decided i would buy GTA5 while there, unfortunately no copies on the shelf.
So asked nice assistant if any at the back of shop, she smiled (i think she had been asked a lot about it!) and said there might be she would look.
There were two other blokes milling around, and when they heard me ask they both asked for copies to!
There weren't any when she came back!! none till sat, awaiting delivery.
It must be selling out well all over, now i really want to play it!

Apparently GTA V made £500 million in one day's sales.
Personally I think everyone is crazy ... the PC version of GTA SA was better it could be modded (I could change the vehicles for example) but the console version couldn't.
Everyone buying it now, will regret it when the PC version comes out, trust me ... or when the PS4 & Xbone go on sale.

I have to say that the pc port of gta iv runs shockingly badly on my pc, which runs more modern games (eg bioshock infinite, witcher 2, dishonored, far cry 3)very well. I am a bit worried that the port for v will be shoddy too.
You can't possibly say that gta sa is better without playing v. Technically v knocks sa out of the park; I've not played long enough to compare the stories, but I am really enjoying the three arcs: it allows rockstargames to tell stories that wouldn't be possible for one main character.
I will probably pick up gta v on pc in the inevitable steam sale, but I am glad I bought it on console now.
