Who is happy they didn't buy it?

I for one am so happy I didn't fall for the scam and buy this game.

After the major issues recently with games royally screwing us over I vowed never to back/preorder ever again and instead wait for release and see what happens.

Behold no offline single player? That is to me the alpha-omega of if I should get a game. I do not play online games (unless it is a MP session with a friend or two) I expected and was told by the kickstarter that this game WOULD work offline single player. Yet I see people crying that is not so.

I am extremely disappointed with Frontier on this not only did they break promises but they flat out lied.

They would NOT have gotton 1.5 MILLION dollars if they had told people *Hey this game is going to be online only even for single player* do you think that kind of bull works now a days? After what happened the new SimCity etc? NOBODY wants that sort of bull.

It makes me sad reading all the comments from people who are trying their best to get a refund because they got lied to.

Frontier has become nothing but $$$ greed and did not deserve the money they got.

Of course Frontier can change things go back to what was promised and make everybody happy again including me.

This is the kind of bull I expect from EA... Not Frontier not a game we waited about 2 decades for... For shame Frontier for shame.

I feel sorry for you, you're missing out on a fantastic space exploration game!

"They would NOT have gotton 1.5 MILLION dollars if they had told people *Hey this game is going to be online only even for single player*"

sorry, but you are wrong.

I'm sure it is but a game that you cant play when your internet is down (which is often) and most importantly a game you cant play if the company goes bankrupt....

That not something I agree with.

You're definatly not the only one to be a "little disappointed" about certain elements of what Elite Dangerous became, yet still?
For all the annoyances and things we don't like about it, there's many many more positive elements to it.

I thought it wouldn't, yet I -really- tried to close my eyes to what bugged me about ED ,and I found ...I'm definatly getting many of the good feelings I had when playing Frontier all those years ago.

We get to visit starsystems far far away ,ones we can see in our own nightsky. We can trade and fight, we've gotten more control over our starships than we ever had in the past (we can use trusters! ^^) . It's a joy to fly, to land to do starship acrobatics.

ED is frustrating and it's fun. By not not giving up on the game, by being a backer from day one and engaging in the community, perhaps (maybe a vague hope) we can urge Frontier Developments add the things we miss (and feel better about ourselves by making them remember the things we -do- want them to add or change).
The game is online only, but I can live with that, as the game itself is enjoyable.

I think too many people got their hopes up early during Kickstarter, I think it was a bit on the optimistic side to think every player got every one of their wishes heard. Guess you like many got bitter due to seeing those hopes not coming true.

Frontier Development is a company , companies' purpose is to earn money for its employees and owners :p You'd be silly to think otherwise. Still I imagine most the Developers there like what they're doing and creating, (even if I imagine not everyone in the company can agree on all decisions)

....From reading you're post ,I'm guessing you're -really- upset Ufox.

In this thread there is the reason why I don't uderstand why poeple who don't have buyed the software could open threads and write here.
