I know. How about making it a mirror so that the female commanders can check their hair, makeup, etc.?
I would like it if it had multiple functions, perhaps with a mapped button a player could flip through different screens. One for a rear view cam, another for a clock (what ship doesn't have a clock?), and perhaps 1-2 extra window with systems info (not sure what it would show though).
It would be fairly useful to most, and seems to be the right place for it too.
