i just started to update to 1.6 and got some error data.ovx validation error , and it stop the update ..
please advise thanks ..
 
CONTROLS CONFIG ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Why is the control configuration always overwritten with the default after the update?
Each time I need to setup the whole config again - is that really hard to exclude the control configuration from
being overwritten? Guys, that's really annoying...

UPDATE: SORRY GUYS, My mistake - somehow I unhooked the USB cable so no joystick no config!

Every time there's a patch I get excited and think maybe it'll address the issues ruining my game. Sadly disappointed again. roll on 1.07

Funny thing happened as a result of the update. Now all the landing docks are highlighted at the same time. I dont know if this is just the cigar station I am currently at or what, but it would be nice to ONLY have your destination landing pad lit instead of the whole lot. That said, everything is better than nothing.

This isn't 1.06, it's been like it for me for a while. I think it's linked to the pad holo marker disappearing problem too (i.e. none look active), which they've stated will been fixed in 1.1. (won't let me link to it - search for the post about 1.1)

Related to the station doors, I raised a ticket a couple of days ago because I 'insta-exploded' when just inside a station, with no warning / buzzing / spinning whatsoever. I had to pay to get my type 7 back (1.1 mil) plus lost just under 2 mil in cargo. Does anyone know... is this the issue they've fixed? And if so, has anyone else managed to get credit reimbursement from it?...

I reported it primarily so it can be fixed (clearly they were already aware) but a reimbursement would be quite nice!...

And can you guys like be more specific on the changes? like elaborate more on what is being changed, reason for the change,et ?

you are making changes to a video game that a lot of people are keeping an eye on. also this is a small community and i think you u should be more clear on the changes.. if you dont know what i mean, lookup Guild Wars 2 Patch notes... they even include dev's inputs on the changes and why they are changed and how it will affect players..

just my 2 cent...

- Added a safety net so that permits awarded on faction ranks (Imperial and Federal) will be forcibly added at the rank above if the player hasn't been able to access the mission for whatever reason

Unfortunately, this doesn't fix the bug where the ranking and permits get themselves confused. In Ross 128, yet get offered the unavailable mission to go to Ross 128 for the Federal Communique. Ticketed weeks ago and still no response, so I can't get past Warrant Officer. :S

It was causing most of the mysterious deaths inside stations - the stations have doors that were causing collisions and they should always be locked open.

Are you planning to roll back deaths caused by this bug?

I lost my clipper twice in a space of 2 days, had to go back to sidewinder, lost around 26 mil. credits.

No, they wont roll it back or even answer. I have a ticket in from Christmas Eve. FDev doesnt give a <snip>.

Oh, and one other bug:

The monetary threshold to reach 'Tycoon' as a trade rank appears to have been changed since launch.

Specifically, at/since launch, several players reported Tycoon at or around 379-382MCR Trade Profit.
Today, with patch 1.06, I exceeded 383MCR Trade Profit, and remain at Entrepreneur.

So, has the monetary threshold been moved, or is there something wrong with the Entrepreneur -> Tycoon threshold being registered, now?
