Here is a Python beating 3 of us

It seems like right now, anything not fully A grade is an ''incomplete loadout'', a fully upgraded ship is basically standard.

If you take your ships with ALL A grade modules to combat then God bless you I can pew pew you with my SOME A grade modules ship.

I've killed an Anaconda in a pimped up Sidewinder already

Your argument is invalid

A player Anaconda?
Please, tell me you recorded that :D

Uh ok
Good for you?
(I am asking: Are you trying to say something, because I'm not sure if you're trying to say something)

Trading man.... tons of mind numbing and mind killing trading.

That is the only way. Go find a good luxury trade or a bidirectional trade between systems.

Always aim for 1500+ profit per ton. with 2 mill you are at the Type 6 level... Just work your way up from there.

It's a long grind, so play some music, watch a stream or movie. Makes your mind sane xD

How much Credits/hour do you make? I make 150K - 200K per hour bounty hunting.

Thanks for the info. But I'm so much not a trader. Bffffffffffffff..................... I don't see any reason why I should spend my life in front of the screen looking at a black screen for hours.
But I hope that E D will pimp up a lot so the multiplayer part will bring in a lot of fun without the need of earning 1 Billion Creds. I already like the game a lot (I played it in 84 ;-) ) but it's 2015 now and we need

Elite: Dangerous - The Movie!

Star Citizen is aiming for that but I think, 70 Mio. Dollars will end up in the chimney. It's not gonna be half as good as the shiny promo videos want to sell it.

What E: D really needs is to connect all players to a living, ingame story. The text based story is just the oppsosite of that.

It actually was... and sadly no... I deliberately didn't record as I was fully expecting to die. I think the only person more surprised than me was the Anaconda pilot...

Something with a blindspot that big is easy to kill if the pilot responds marginally slower than a drugged sloth.

DERRRRRRRRRRPPPPPP

Because perhaps the game allows you to fly more than the one ship? Because perhaps you want to do something that the viper can't and/or you want bigger guns because it suits your play style?

Anyway, I have soloed player Pythons in a Viper... It's not actually that difficult if you have the ability to anticipate the other pilot.

Mature response, thank you. You prove my point that nerfing the Python isn't needed as vipers kill it already.

Hi Fenix!! :D

I don't always use gimballed, only the first time I fought you (you were my first PvP fight) and when fitted for NPCs. Often run fixed now :)

PS: I only deleted you from friends as I decided it was highly likely you'd use it to know my location and hunt me :p

DUDE!! I did the same thing after you did not come to the Kappa Fornacis war with me! LOL!

Yo I added you again though, because screw that none sense. I am always up to pew pew some noobs around, teach them they need to skill up. :)

Can't take it?

Look it's simple, Anaconda realised he was in a fight... Apparently he put all pips into weapons or wherever because it wasn't his shields. Anaconda wondered why he couldn't hit the annoying Sidewinder firmly wedged into his tailpipe and instead of just burning away and activating FSD he tried to manouver. Obviously that failed because the Sidewinder was matching his velocity and turning with him to retain the firing solution.

Anaconda is stupid.
Sidewinder wins.

This just proves the point, player ability matters more than the size of the ship.

Must have been some trader who flown his gem in combat for the first time with a mouse then. But still, you know, posting things like that... video or didint' happen ;)

I completely agree with the "pics or didn't happen" sentiment. I have since (this is actually true) bought an additional hard drive for my fraps footage so it can run continuously while I'm playing.

Nice to see this game isn't turning into a F2P hellhole.

People are going to have to realise with ED it's not about having the most credits to buy the best ship or gear. There will hopefully never be a "best ship" in this game and each craft will have it's pros and cons. Which will make co-op play all the more interesting (when it gets sorted).

There is a best ship for combat. It was the Python, now it's the Viper. How did this change anything except make the "best" ship more reachable?

More like underpowered, considering its price.

Exactly, he can't kill them if they choose to run away at any time. It's easy to cover a couple km when your top speed is 400+ boosting, Python can't keep up.

I didn't mind the shield nerf, whatever, it's too strong if it's more than Anaconda. But nerfing the speed is what bothers me, it's just going to make fighting smaller ships tedious and unfair considering the time invested to get a python.

You do realise that if the viper is now the best (as you state), that actually makes the game better for everyone? It means you can't just grind for a python and start facerolling players. You do realise the game was not designed purely for random PvP and killing?

I don't think price should be a factor that makes an overpowered item underpowered.
If that was to be the case, I would hope that FD at least made making money hard, but that might end up being really tedious and the ones complaining about how they have to grind to ''win'' the game would get completely rampant.

Then why is it being balanced around that? I was aiming for a Python to have an awesome ship that does it all in my Solo/Private group. How does that affect anyone? It doesn't make the game "Better for everyone", it makes the game "better for everyone who couldn't afford a Python". In almost every videogame there is a 'better' thing to get. Now they are taking that away. I am starting to lose my trading drive because basically if it's better than the Viper, it needs to be toned down. That's ridiculous. Take any other profession and you can better versions, now you have combat balanced around PVP alone. Nobody cared that the Python was awesome until a bunch of little Viper pilots couldn't kill it.
