Jump range on the Clipper?

Hi there.
Can anyone tell me the jump range on the clipper at stock? At maximum and the cost for maximum?
Thankyou.

Yeah i have 46 million, just sold my type 7, all i have now is a sidewinder with maximum jump range and a bog standard cobra mk3
Need to get my Empire rank up to Baron.

You should be able to get it at a lower rank if you are allied with the system. Mine was purchased at Knight.

Good luck, it is an awesome ship to fly, you will be in for treat when you first hear the boost sound! Tz Arietis also stocks everything you need to max out the ship :)

Edit - Kit out the Cobra for the rank missions, you can always strip it again to buy the Clipper.

I may actually buy an ASP and kit that out to the max, just buy everything that is the best, go do the missions for Baron and then sell it. Ill do some rare commodites while im at it to break up the heavy trading with the type 7. Im at Shinrarta (founders world) now. Everything is cheaper here.

I'm hearing this was patched out in 1.06, but can't confirm

I noticed that I have a whole bunch of system permits now since 1.06, thought it was strange that I had no permits considering I put so much work in. Perhaps I can now finish of those rank missions!

Just purchased the ASP and spent 23 million on it purchased everything at Shinrarta. I think the 35ly FSD is at another location, probably Altair, Ridley scott, George lucas terminal etc.

Oh crap, I have the Facece permit - I should probably check that out.

No. They fixed this loophole in 1.05. You have to be a legit Baron now.

Also, you can easily move into a "trading" Clipper at 30 million, with 4 million left over for insurance and first cargo. No need to wait until 40 million. Here's the config:

240 cargo, 14 Ly jump range: http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=303,,2-A0A0888SA08S6k,0Bk0AA0720727Q405U03w03w

Run at 4 pips to shields and you'll never get a scratch during docking or running from interdiction. I got knocked _hard_ from behind by an Orca once when leaving a station with only 2 pips in shields and still lost only 2 rings and zero hull damage.

Of course you should upgrade from this starting config (power dist next), and if you want to drop to 232 cargo you can upgrade to 4D or 4A shields, but really, I have zero issues with 3D shields.

I can confirm. It was actually patched out sometime at or during 1.05. Believe me, I tried every trick in the book (all in the interest of "science", of course). Was Lord rank at the time too. On the bright side, it forced me to figure out the rep system and write a guide about it... (look down, purple link).

I keep getting this Achenar permit bug, can i still progress in rank once i have the permit which i do as ive been to achenar?
I keep seeing this communique in the bulletin board?

I get 3 summer land summons as unavailable missions as I have the permit. I only remember getting the Achenar one and now I've that and Sol too. Still not found a Baron mission anywhere.

The clipper is great but has some serious drawbacks. I sold mine and went back to an asp and a type 7. The clipper can haul a butt load of cargo, but ding the hull and you lost all your profit. She is extremely agile for her size, but the two large hard points are so far out from center that it's impossible to hit a target at close range with both hardpoints. She looks great, and people will certainly notice you in it, but the operational costs are ridiculous. If it had 6 hardpoints it'd be a better ship. I also could never find a fuel tank larger than 16, so you spend a lot of time fuel scooping.

Stock somewhere around 11. Mine is 15 with A class everything and 222t

Stock laden is around 8.5. Abysmal lol, took me like two hours to get 100 ly, kept having to take the long way around. I should have saved for longer but it's worth it! Best of luck with your new ship, it's a beauty!

Ouch, don't remember the day I got it, 1st thing I did was get the best FSD I could at the station.

Ye the fuel tank is stupidly small I can only manage 4 jumps and I'm on empty.
Fuel scooping is a must but watch for heat damage.
I lost 10% Hull and it cost me 68k in repairs.

Class 3 fuel scoop is the way to go. The tank is so small that you'll want to scoop a little bit at each star. Using a class three means you only have to stop for a few seconds each time. It's worth sacrificing the cargo space IMO.
