I hate Cobras.

Until they refit with ECM. Its reload is faster than you can fire seekers, but they could still slip up or be so preoccupied with jamming that it would allow your frame shift to charge amd sustain little damage.

Yep. That's me. Though I will admit, that was nearly 3 years ago and immediately after a deployment (aside from shenanigans, working out is about all there is to do most of the time). I make my disconnect jokes in full jest, as the current tensions between PvPers and non PvPers are downright hilarious at this point.

hehe same reason I throw griefer around with wild abandon despite not actually believing it about the vast majority of people playing this game. Its really quite hilarious to see people get so riled up over a silly made up word.

Yes!! Someone who gets my sense of humor!! The fact that people are so upset over a video game cracks me up to no end!

I have a Cobra; love it to bits. The thing is just a Swiss army knife of options. As far as headhunting goes, no bounty? No problem! :)

Exactly my thoughts on the Cobra, sold my Asp to fully kit out my Cobra, never look back, missed it too much 😄

The Cobra is a lovely runaround, no doubt about that - but selling an Asp for one? You can buy a Cobra for peanuts - kit it out for spare change - and you won't have the Asp sounds anymore :(

Mind you - if the Cobra is what you really want to fly - then go for it. They are heaps of fun!

Try equiping your ship with nothing but heat seekers. 5 missiles fired at fast intervals is usually enough for them to run away like little girls
OR you could just submit, then frameshift away 10 seconds later since the cooldown lessens if you submit over being pulled out of supercruise.

EDIT: skimmed trough the text and didnt see you already outfitted heatseekers.

Not true anymore - whether you submit or not, cooldown is half a minute or so.

For what its worth he did call them rabid dogs, which equates them to a sick and damaged animal with no capability of rational thought or anything beyond a compulsion towards random violence.

Not sure if that is better or worse, but it seems apropos. ;)

In the spirit of gaming it's perfectly fine. To call someone a griefer you break the third wall and accuse someone of trying to make your gaming time bad, as an attack versus the guy in front of the computer a opposed to player interaction in game. You might not like that interaction, but you agreed to play by it's rule.

Yes, it's called trolling, will make it easier when deciding to reply to you or not.

Not upset, but combat-logger = ant. This from a guy that doesn't seek pvp.

But if you're in it, play it. Honor the threat and all that... or wuss out and go change your daipers.

Unless the OP gets caught in anarchies, the problem here is that the game doesn't punish paycho behavior. There are supposed to be serious consequences, but they have not been implemented. He can't hire NPC bodyguards yet either.

[...]I run into another one carrying chaff launcher and I got exploded. Total loss around 7 millions. With a burning ball of fury rampaging within, I replaced all my weapons with seeker missiles [...] I'm very glad to see that after four rounds of alpha-strike his hull was down to 2%, after which I didn't hesitate to go ahead for a fifth. Oh boy it felt good. So good. My shield was gone and my hull was knocked down to 65% but UGH IT FELT GOOD.

Question: if you could chose, would you prefer to have had neither of these experiences or both?

Both. This is why I love E: D to death even it's not a finished game. It throws me into unique situations and let me feel emotions that I don't usually get to experience in real life, and as a result I actually get to understand myself a little better.

Seriously, no video games so far has made my heart pound so hard as Elite: Dangerous does. Screw all those horror games and "survival horror hurr durr", you don't know what fear is until some random stranger decide to destroy hours of your gameplay progress and feast on your corpse.

The Cobra has a long shelf life for players in the game, gets my vote.
Also have a type 6 with mines, which just limps away from trouble.

I would be happy to take on a Cobra or a Viper to the death but would now soon run against anything bigger, in the past if I had 4 sets of dumfires then I would have had a go, but the so called 'balancing' plays in to the hands of the killer rabid dogs (KRD's) with kitted out large military ships, you can no longer run due to cool down taking longer, no longer use shield cells in the same way and no longer use dumfires in the same way, you are toast.
Thank you for giving in to the KRD's
