Please tell me the USS missions are getting an overhaul

Cause after 20 minutes in and out of USS's for Elite Anaconda I am shaking my head and asking myself, why am I playing this extremely boring waiting game

What? You don't enjoy the endless procession of wedding parties, funeral processions, and "your minerals bought here" USS sites?

He clearly doesn't get the game.

The game is about imagining a different game while you fly around in supercruise.

Sheesh what are you 14 op? Let me tell you about the eighties when all we had was white lines and we enjoyed it!

Yeah, I just don't take USS based missions anymore. I prefer to just drop in them at random when making a long SC trip. At least in that context they make sense.

Taking a mission and just happening on the right USS in the vastness of space just seems ludicrous. If FD could at least implement mission areas then at least it makes sense that mission giver has some intelligence on where they lost their silly little box or the location of the hated enemy.

I hope so too. They are far to static and predictable at the moment. I seem to remember FD saying they were placeholders back in alpha, but they never changed :(

I hear they are patching the mission soon. When you select it It will tell you exactly where he is. (Usually 10km from the station you are in)

He will be bright red and when you shoot him down he will drop gold cannisters which transport to your cargo hold. Then you get the creds for the mission without going back to base.

Previous mission design was not fun enough. Hope you enjoy this new mission and having to trace y9ur quarry!!!

*fun definition here means instant.

It is kinda like this already. Take mission, SC away from station for like 5 seconds. Throttle down to minimum, and just wait for USS to plop right in front of you. Jump in look around, jump out, and wait for another USS to plop right in front of you.

It looks absolutely ridiculous when I can complete 5 missions without ever moving more than a 1Ls. Seems all the pirates, bounty hunters, black boxes, rebel communications, trade data, elite anacondas and funeral processions all happen within the same tiny amount space in any position in all of the system...yeah that is what I call unfinished.

You guys know that you don't actually go look for USS right?

All you do is fly a straight line and they appear in front of you, they are spawned just for you, the more you move around looking the greater cahnce you will miss them. Just go to SC and have your view set as the nav panel, they will appear there so just target them when they do.

Like that you're playing a game that isn't still in Alpha/Beta?

OP: Were you in the right system? :D

I mean, there's an obvious difference between AXEEK CD-4322+68 and AXEEK CD-4322-68.

/sarcasm

Yea that's how I do them too. Feels like a broken mechanic tbh :/

White lines, pfft. When I was your age we didn't even HAVE computer games with white lines for graphics. We had to just find a good sized rock and PRETEND it was a computer game with white lines for graphics. And we were THANKFUL.

I somewhat agree. If the mission requires you to find an assassination target - It would be nice if they said "he was last seen near "moon X" or "planet X" in whatever system rather than say "He was last seen in X system". They could have the USS's pop up near those specific locations rather than "somewhere in the solar system".

Hqhah you see thats cheesing. N i dont think you can complain as you are doing it to yourself.

Also these missions he is on about give you systems to search (usually not where you are) but i get what you are saying. If you work out the mechanics of something it soon becomes boring. Like 2qtch8ng a magic show with some tricks you already know.

Ps i would mark your post with spoilers.

I think its a bit late to complain now though. Why were you guys not in beta?

Michael have said that "they can do more with them".

That is "Michael-speak" for "Yes, they will get an overhaul. ;)
