Woop finally got it last night and played the tutorial missions and do like the look of so far. I played little main game but performance seems a lot better in that then the tutorials. Today I went into main game and forgot what to do so will have to go threw some tutorials again lol. Also getting a 27" 144 hz BENQ gaming monitor soon which I cant wait for as now I am using a TV at 32" 60hz and not very good for other games too with slow downs and screen tearing. But so far devs I like the look of it and glad I bought in the end. That's just after the tutorials. :p...

Congrats on your purchase of a brand new Sidewinder CMDR, +rep for a sensible, excited and positive post.

Now all you need to do is avoid these forums for the foreseeable future, and you won't end up all bitter and twisted like some of the residents here :)

My brother played Elite on Amiga all time and today when I said I got the new Elite he was straight round. Now he wishes he never had a family. lol j/k. J/K about not having a family. :p

If only others could see that instead of throwing a fit and complaining that it doesn't yet meet their lofty standards!

Personally, I can't wait. I like to think of it like buying a lifetime membership to Alton Towers when they opened... They started small, but kept adding bigger and better rides each and every season. I'm a big kid at heart!

Welcome to Elite: Dangerous. Glad to read your post. There is an awful lot to experience in the game. Take your time and discover it all. Play it your way. I started Elite in 1984, and I'm still here. ;-)
