anaconda idiot

Peer 2 Peer is the source. Good luck with treatment, that's like a genetic defect. The game was born with it.

See video, I was commenting on chaff.

Combat logging is only a slight addition to what makes current station camping work. P2P is another can of Worms.

this morning I saw a CMDR, don't know his name, inside dalton gateway at LHS 3447 in an anaconda. apparently he had a full unit of hard points with plasma accelerators and rail guns, he was shooting other CMDR ships, some escaped and some blew up.

So what? It's a game where every pilot can do what he wants. It's cool! What's the problem here. That's exactly what makes the game interesting. A bit of anarchy. If you can't survive in the Elite universe, that try to adapt. It's not rinkle dinkle smoothy woozy. Go and fight.

Hacking is work.

This, however, is not.

Its stupid easy to break the game without opening cheat engine.

So that's one of your Youtube channels Khan. Why do you think that it is fun to ruin the game for others?

Oh god MIEN SIDES!

You really think I have the time or inclination to grind that hard to cover my rear end to camp a station in a conda?

Lordly lord, good one!

Found that gem on 4chan, had no part in makeing it.
Look at the other video on that channel, the half hour one, pretty sure somewhere in there the guy pulls up his commander name and rank.
Edit: Even then, if that was my account I wouldn't claim otherwise on my primary forum account. A throwaway for a throwaway, so to speak.

But thanks for the baseless accusation.

All that needs to change is that when you enter a station all weapons are disabled, just like how your thrusters are disabled when you dock.
Seems like a reasonable requirement of entering a station, or even the entire no fire zone outside. Guns are disabled, instead of providing silly pittance fines that mean nothing.

And if they dont fixing Soon will die fast enough.

I remember When CCP just released cruisers.... After couple of days lots was even scary to leave 0.8 systems because of camps at gates without guns.

You must be an idiot. Griefing inside stations is not a valid gameplay choice. This will be fixed. Its just a matter of when.

No, it's not "interesting". It's idiotic, both by the player and the game.

Station weapons that can't target a stationary Anaconda because of chaff? Can't someone just point them manually?

Station weapons that can't destroy the ship?

100cr fine for firing weapons in the no-fire zone? (That may be OK for a single accidental laser pulse, but repeated sustained bursts?). The response should be immediate and lethal.

Station controller who lets the ship enter again a few minutes later? It should be hostile throughout Alliance systems.

Not believable, "breaks immersion", etc.

Simple fix: make ship weapons ineffective or inoperable inside the station.

Simply making station guns do a lot more damage would fix this. Or make them immune to chaff etc. Firing inside the no fire zone should be a lethal response too, not a crappy 100c fine.

The station lasers could easily run on visual tracking. Why aren't the security vipers being spawned like in Frontier?

People will always do this if they can, in a way it points out an error in the mechanics of the game that should be addressed.

The station, should shut down all the docking ports, and then shut down it access slot sheilds and allow the atmosphere and anaconda to vent to space. Hopefully incurring hull damage in the process.

What on earth makes people want to do this, specially in a starter zone? There must be a lot of frustrated people playing these games...

Anyway, after i read several of these threads about players shooting others in stations if think the only way to solve this mess is too make weapons disable the second a ship enters the stations slot. I think its for the best!

Well for starters, the location in the video is Lave. That isn't a starter zone, in fact it is well over a hundred lightyears from any starter zone and is a rare goods trade system.

What makes them want to do this? That one's pretty easy too: Many players have already explored thousands of systems to the point where their eyes have started to glaze over from the monotony, traded till their coffers are overflowing, and bounty hunted their fill. What else is there? You're going to see this behavior more and more until Fdev adds some *new* content, not just more of the same.

As to how to "solve" this mess? You could whinge to FDev I suppose. Or you could fit some chaff and fixed beams to your ship, fly into that station, and kill the guy that's doing it. I suppose some will take the route of posting their butt hurt to the forums while others will look to overcome this challenge.

The commander is most likely doing nothing against the rules of the game, just taking advantage of in game mechanics. Could also be logging in addition. However the primary way to station camp has little to do with logging.

"Of course he HAS to be combat logging! Surely there are not easier ways to causing mass grief! Right guys?"

can someone explain to me what mass grief is? and what combat logging is?
