So your YouTube didn't have guest audio once you fixed the echo you had on your voice.
The audio only stream has everyone's audio.

That was better anyway.... I think watching too much 'Kow broke my video card last week. :)

Well that makes me feel better. 'Kow did his best to distract while I read my drabble... and succeeded :(

So if no-one can see, then lucky me :)

I'm hosting a secondary poll this week, about which drabbles I should vote for.

You vote by placing an amount of credits in my bank account (9526.7447.3563.5446.9538-666).

No more agony over which drabbles I should choose!

When you check your bank balance before you vote, I hope you don't take the amount you find in there as meaning we don't want you to vote for anybody.

There's three of us vying for second place. The other two are new to the Drabble contest, and so they don't know about the completely legitimate and honourable tactic of drumming up support for their entries...

... Puleeze! vote for my Drabble <sad puppy dog eyes>.

<cough><kerspit><wheeze and cough>
I didn't think you'd pass me an actual dog biscuit.
<spit>
These ones aren't as nice as the ones out of Tesco's.

Sorry Frank. There ain't no Tesco's here in the wilds of North Holland. I got the biscuits from Albert Heijn's (the Dutch equivalent of 'Spar' (does Spar still exist?)); they are renowned for selling lower quality goods at higher quality prices, especially for animal products, their philosophy being 'who's going to complain?'. Of course, they don't know of good people like yourself and our fellow drabblers and patrons of the T&FdL. I'll get you real artificial beef flavour next time.

PS. I didn't mean to suggest that Spar sells poor quality at high prices.

I think I got a first time sympathy vote in at the last which made me feel like Kip Drordy from South Park. Is it ettiquite to vote for ones self.

In my head my drabble played out like a high quality Tarentino scene but becuase im Dyslexic it came across as staccato pish.

The last line '3000' was final price deal said by the mob Boss but i ran out words and mostly ran out of English comprehension.

Thought Pysk was spot on with the Micky Mouse at the begining as im origionally from Liverpool ha. Thanks for reading them out dude, had no Idea until seen it last Night on Tube, is a decent Jackanory hour.

There could be a time in the future, an alternative timeline to that proposed by Frontier Developments. Caesar munches his Spar dog biscuits, and then he starts to study hard. He stretches his canine brain to its limits until that fateful day when he finally manages to utter his first phrase... "These biscuits are bogging!"

To make a play on words I changed the 'b' in 'bogging' to a 'd'. After all, we are talking about canines. Apparently, in doing so, I created a 'naughty word' so my post wasn't allowed. This was not my intent, and it is also a mystery to me - I always thought it meant 'to follow somebody relentlessly' and I don't understand the problem... maybe I've been out of the UK so long that the language has changed and left me behind?

Oh well. Tired, going to bed. Nighty night all.

erm, yes Darkoba that is not a word you want to post here. It would set off too many alarms.

The worst thing is it was always a slang term we used at school, except that to us the word meant taking a day off without permission.

Hmm, it looks like the good ol' English language is going to the d.. - er, bogs :(

PS. 20 Drabbles and (up to now) 26 voters. Things are looking up :) ... or is that phrase not allowed???

I thoroughly enjoyed it, the readings is a good giggle on a Friday night, like a carry on down the pub with friends. I will try to rope in a special guest this week, so with that may come a full hour show!! and we had Kate Russell sneak in to join us as well, and the regular faces and a SPEAKING Frank.

I have plans to resolve the issue with audio on the recordings (I was testing for an upcoming project.. and FAILING) One of the software apps crashed and killed the feed.

The resulting latency fedback to my earphones causing a really distracting feedback... so some things to work out!

I just bought Drew Wagar's Elite: Reclamation audio book. It is stunning in it's quality, and is totally mesmerising. I highly recommend.
I've also got Kate's audio book Mostly Harmless and will listen to that later. Looking forward to it :)

First: Don't think it was a sympathy vote. You painted a vibrant word picture, very Tarentino-esque; I felt quite ill ;)
Second: Yeah, it's a bummer when you run out of words before you run out of story... you could try writing it out on paper first, to get the balance.
Third: 'Jackanory'? Yer giving yer age away mate! :)
Forth: What part of the 'Pool?

Wait, really? The UK has an issue with "bogging" with a d? Man, they drive on the wrong side of the road and they have the absolute silliest swear words. In the States, it's also 'to follow somebody relentlessly' or harass them. Like a dog on your heels, begging.

Anyway...

Hmm, I was going to respond to some other post... Oh yeah.. that was it...

Micky, I initially compose my Drabble in Notepad. After so many drabbles, I now hit so close to 100 words it's scary. Then I jump over to www.wordcounter.net and toss the drabble in there to see how close to 100 I really am. Generally, when I'm writing, I make mental notes of adjectives I can add or remove to tweak it a word or two.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents from the guy with only 2 votes. :D
