I am not disappointed that the game has been released. What else would I have played over the last few months that has given me as much enjoyment as this. Perhaps if it had stayed as an open Beta, would people stop complaining?
All games evolve , and ED will evolve into a better game as times goes on.
yes there are a few things that i wish were in the game now, but can happily wait till they are introduced.
I think the Wings update will bring a lot of the players who have been a bit bored back into the game as multiplayer hasn't really worked very well so far. We need to be able to recognise friends on the radar . Clan tags need to be in the game. We need to be able to jump into our friends wakes as easily as we can jump into USS. perhaps a larger entry window marked on the radar in a different colour would be the way to implement it. Interaction between players is pretty much One V One at the moment. When you can play in groups , such as Pirates V traders, or one clan V another , it should really improve things.
I dont think there is much wrong with the trading aspect of the game. Perhaps there could be larger profits to be made on less valuable cargo.
I havent done much mining, actually one evening only and I found it a bit too complex. If you didn't have to seperate all the stuff and had a tractor beam , it would get my attention when I want a break from being mean and dangerous.
If I had to say i was disappointed about an aspect of the game then it would probably be exploration. With the sat nav thing now fixed, I tried it yesterday. Having spend the good part of the day travelling around unexplored space , i dont think I'll be doing it again, if it is left as it is.
Things I didn't like, was being interdicted by NPC, when I was hundreds of light years from inhabited space. I wanted a bit of peace and quiet, and they just shouldn't have been there. My target was a black hole, and when I eventually found a pair. It was disappointing. I crashed into one and .... nothing happened. yawn. So with only 620 lys away from home I turned the ship around . When I got back I did like to see that I had been the first to visit dozens of places, but the rewards were a bit too small for me to do it again, and the fact that there is no data base of who discovered what system is a bit disappointing.
It was nice to ditch the asp and get back to doing what i like to do the best being a pirate /bounty hunter / slave trader and general scumbag alongside friends who are the same.
