Vulture available in 1.2? So three new ships altogether?

Cool.

I know it a fighter but that look like it will have of the best cockpit views in the game, might have to test how good it is as an explorer.

Showing concept art =/= confirmation...
saying there will be two ships in 1.2 then clearly stating there will be ship x and y in following newsletters, THAT'S confirmation.

Awesome news!

As much as I want to see the Corvette in the game, I guess that the upcomming ships are a bit more affordable - even if they will come with a hefty price tag. But they will definitely not reach nine digits, which I expect for the Corvette.

Dear Core Dynamics,

As one of your better customers, I was a little dismayed to hear of the release of the Vulture from a third party. I am on your newsletter mailing list and there was no mention in the last issue of this grand event. Quite disappointed.

Would you please forward a prospectus / brochure or whatever marketing materials you have available along with options list and pricing. I'll be in touch with one of your dealerships once I've had a chance to read over the design specs.

Looking forward to taking one for a spin.

Sincerely,

CMDR Shadragon esq.

A typographical error perhaps? I dunno I didn't write it now read it :p

Yep I had to double check to make sure.

Whoever wrote the Newsletter was given a screenshot of The Corvette and assumed it would be 1.2 rather than clarifying that it was just a Peek of the Week and nothing to do with the upcoming patch.

The only other logical explanation is that something else was supposed to be in the Peek, but was replaced at the last minute after that copy had already been written?

(And people wonder why I say as much as I do on the comms matter - now people are confused and some will get angry over it - not that they should it's just internet spaceships and I doubt they could afford it anyway yet :D )

I agree with Arubeto: Newsletter #61 certainly clearly implied that the Corvette was part of the 1.2 release...

No implication of any sort, they took a concept art that nobody knew what it really was and put a name on it, said it was the biggest player ship, and nothing else...

EDIT: Actually they're right: "and sneaking a look at March's Update 1.2 in our Peek Of The Week."

It was indeed "announced". oh well, errare humanum est

The only issue I have is we really need ships somewhere between the Cobra and the Asp / Type 6 in size. Most players don't have the millions required to buy the big ships. A few more smaller / mid size ships would add a heck of a lot to the game in my opinion.

Definitely! As well as a couple more in the Viper and just above price range. Too many large ships, too few smaller ships.
