I'm guessing it's been thought of by the devs, but I wouldn't want to be the player storing their ship at this station, only to find the shipyard was removed after it changed location.

Surely changing station facilities is a bug, not a feature though, right?

Edit: Looks like shipyard wasn't included anyway. Well that sorts that out

iirc, the space stations are fixtures and cannot be made to move exactly, so it must move during downtime. They could keep the station warping around similar to a capital ship, but I suspect then you could not dock at it in any way.

so now all we can do is dock, donate exploration data and turn in bounties ? and not repair and refuel ( so taking our fuel scoops along is a good idea)

I've already washed my hands of Jaques Station at this point. There's no reason to use it as an exploration home base when it takes 2 weeks just to move 12 LY.
