There'll be a lot of new voices in the mix too. Should be exciting!

I remember when the Kickstarter began there were some complaints from the old forum members about how these newbies were taking over and the forums just weren't the same any more. I'm pretty sure next year we're going to see the same complaints touted out a thousand fold!

I don't mind, as long as there's still drabbles :)

I am not sensing any anger from anyone. Sorry if it comes across like that. Most threads seem to take a wander during their life. They are pretty boring if they don't.

Never said meandering is a bad thing, but the argument over the word "JONTY" has derailed this thread. Again 1 page on topic 6 pages off.

Personally as much as I enjoyed the pre Kickstarter forum (there was about 10 regular posters on here,) I much prefer the way the forum is now.

Anyway, back on subject. today is the 1st anniversary of the KS being announced, which is quite scary. even scarier is the fact I've been on here 6 years! :eek:

I am trying to find a way to ask the question I want to ask without it sounding too harsh but I suspect this will fail.

Here goes,

How many pages of "Yeah, happy birthday" "No, Game isn't born yet" did you want?

Some threads run and run because they are a genuine discussion on a thorny issue. Some threads die very quickly because they are more of a statement than a discussion.

I have have already expressed my position on the OP. It was not a position I was required to defend or discuss further.

Does the discussion about the word Jonty deserve its own thread?

Back on track....Happy Birthday ED! ;)....and as for angrier, na more like frustration, either in getting a view across or wanting more ED info and then going off topic from the OP...am right ok!! :mad::mad::mad::p

Agree with you in that Forums will explode in size near/on ED release, am guessing like you i will change my viewing habits as well, only take in or skim new threads/posts post ED release, so not to waste to much gaming time.

Actually i can see myself playing a day session, and then having a few beers late evening catching up on the forums.

lol Yep i remember dissenting voices that from one or two old timers, but to be fair they changed their minds and embraced us newcomers eventually.

We have to remember that to for new faces and be patient when explaining for the umpteenth time the differences between the Factions or "great drabble but its not the theme this week!" lol ;).......

Come on, there is no number, but only 1 page in 6 (soon to be 7) is a little off.
Anyway THIS conversation is further derailing it, and derailing a conversation about derailing a topic on a derailed thread is likely to cause some sort of paradox and end the universe (or at the very least seriously derail it).

Lets just say I won and get back on topic :p

I agree that you are indeed the winner. And that there are no losers.

As the game has not actually been born yet, I decree that FD are still pregnant and entering the 5th trimester. The midwife should be informed.

Was it back whenever it was that Elite IV was first mooted?

When the announcement of the Kickstarter was made?

When the target was reached?

When the Kickstarter finished?

When the Alpha starts?

When the Beta starts?

When the Gamma starts?

When the final release is made?
