Lambda Andromedae outpost community goal - new !!

I'll be heading over there in an hour... ish. And I'll drop some beer outside the station after the debrief. (Yes, really. Fines are on me.)

At Jameson Memorial the Asp is 5,9995,038c.

I'm guessing that is the normal reduced price for Founders, ie not including the extra 15%?

Finished in the top 70% and the Asp in Maikoro is for the full price only :( Disappointed and disgusted, to be honest.

Seems it's confirmed then. Time to send in a ticket to FD please. I'll do the same if I find I can't get a discounted Asp as promised.
As this community goal was commissioned by the Sirius Corporation maybe someone should go to Sirius to see if a discounted Asp is available there. I would but I don't have a Sirius permit yet. I was working on that goal before I got distracted with these community goals. I could pick that thread up but I need more credits to buy an Asp anyway and there is a time limit on this.

Just wait people, it will kick in at some point, as I said, the other CGs took a while for the discount to be available.
The main issue is the fact there isn't even an Asp available to purchase there, i'm sure this will be fixed too.

For flip sake be patient. Go off and do summat else and come back later. Why does everything have to happen and happen now? We are not the centre of this galaxy and things do not revolve around us...

patience you lot. if discounted asps are what we are promised then discounted asps are what we will get. galnet says an economic boom is about to descend on bounds horizons. so ive stripped my asp down for some trading and im going to hang around here for a couple of days to see what develops. managed 351 data sets so got in the top 15% and cashed in my 250k. this one was a lot of fun, pity we didnt get to level 7 but pretty good effort all round just the same. join me for some lavian brandy in the bar if you will...

Like Mikey said: Patience, the discounts took some time at the other cg too.

Probably a lot of people staying around for this week to either earn their asp or make some money with it when they got it. Good time to fit a cargo scanner, some class 6 shields and some decent weaponry... See you around ;)

erm, this is a community funded game, and they need our money, so yes i do believe it does revolve around us.

I'm also staying in the area after getting into the top 70%, but i did join this mission late.

I want my Asp and I want it NOW!!

Where in the cg was it stated that the asp was available right after goal ended?
We will get our asps! Don't sweat it!

At the Banki CG the outfitting section was completely empty before the discounts were avtivated around 6-9h after the goal ended. There will be asps ;)

But on a second thought: Has there been any official response to the bounty bug when the cg began? Will it be 15% or will the reports this glitch created be nullified?
I guess without this bug it wouldn't even be tier 5...

Just out of curiosity, where nearby Lambda has a great shipyard + outfitters? Any ideas? Can't afford the Asp even with the discount, but might try my hand with a T6. See if I can earn enough before the discount runs out :D

Thurston Ring in the Qama system sells Asps and T6s, and has a fairly decent outfitters. It's only 10.9LY away from Lambda Andromedae.

Been a while since I posted here, most of my stuff was ED vids a few months ago but I recently got back in the game and was able to participate in this event.

I'd been doing quite well for myself, and had gotten up to a CM3 with only a little bit of play. When the announcement had been made I put it off until I could afford some decent trading gear, and managed to get up to a Type-6 just a few days ago, making 200k+ per full run on my boat and my favorite route.

In any event I wanted to take place in the exploration so I managed to sc enough coin together to buy back my Cobra, do a full C-grade outfitting. Excepting shields, which are D-grade (in a Cobra running is always a potentially successful option) and A-grade life support (too many horror stories of commanders losing their dosh by suffocation to skimp on that). The only unusual piece of equipment on my ship is a Kill Warrant Scanner; when a pirate attacks me on the frontier it'd be nice to get some cash and Elite Federation recognition, and it's easy money if you park in front of a station should you need a refill or a fixup.

I traveled to Lambda Andromedae on the evening of the 27th, and set out on a computed flight path on the 28th and spent all Sunday surveying an area out towards 500ly from reccy HQ, and then making it back about 3:30 in the morning today. I probably would have gotten more done but I prefer quality over quantity so I naturally do whole system scans as opposed to quick solar bag and tags.

The first half of the way there had been tagged but past that there were a lot of clean systems. I suspect someone may have claimed some of the stuff I had picked up along the way, but I got some firsts never-the-less. Having a 4C-grade hyperdrive was a bit of a curse as that slowed me down a bit but also a blessing as I got to tag more systems along the way. I do think I should upgrade my reactor and fuel scoop though.

I had been interdicted a lot over the course of the trip by pirates and psychopaths, and that did more damage than the attacks they did to me in combat, frequently (although there was the Eagle with the rail gun, that was a scare but I retreated from that one). Two jumps away from my target system another Cobra interdicted me while I was heading onto the distant of a binary system and was thus going quite fast. This knocked my health below 70% and also damaged (but fortunately did not break) my canopy; when I heard the cracking (seeing that I was 400ly from the nearest inhabited system) I was very concerned. To say the least.

After that I just used sloppy scans, hit my target system, and then doubled back with a damaged canopy. My return route was different from my outward route so I got double the systems on the way back. In pirate-free systems I did take the time to get some more scans in, at least on promising worlds.

It was a profitable trip all and all, I made a cool million off of some K and M systems so I can complain. Also many rich and terraform worlds, which I will explore personally once higher-grade scanning gets implemented into the game. And I made Trailblazer in a single go. While I wanted to improve some of my core systems I instead hooked in an Advanded Discovery Scanner with the funding.

Here's what my trip back was generally like; nursing a broken Cobra in front of a star while using a Auto Repair to at least keep the thrusters, hyperdrive and fuel scoop going.

Also someone wanted a picture of the final stats for the event, here's what's on my docket. Only got up to 70% with my efforts but I don't think that's too bad at all given I started the last day or so.

I'm more excited about 8 new outposts beyond the current frontier! Still wondering how they will be allocated, though, guessing between the top systems reported by value and spread around in various directions.

Took a bunch of screenshots during the past week, took two trips and surveyed more than 1100 systems in total. First was out to the Perseus arm and wandering around there, second was down and spinward to one of the closer areas with a large number of collapsed stars. Passed through the Veil nebulae on the way back.

Just checked in: Asp is now available for 5,661,980 at Nourse Orbital.

Edit: Which means I now have to take my Cobra back to Cuachini, buy a Sidewinder, get back to Lambda Andromedae, sell the Sidewinder and buy the Asp.

Beer will be available outside Nourse Orbital for the next half hour or so (or until it's empty. Just meet me behind the station, where the cool kids hang out.)

Edit the second: I could have bought the Asp BEFORE I completed the mission. Cash reward needed the completion, though.

I'm sure the Asp will be added to the shipyard in Lambda Andromedae soon enough, with the 15% discount.
edit: YEP, THERE IT IS!

I'm very very looking forward to see where the new outposts go, I submitted 4 earth-likes and dozens of terraforming candidates, all within about 500ly of populated space, and got first discovery and pretty much all of them - would make my day to see an outpost arrive in a system that has my name on it :)

I wonder if all the new outposts will be owned by the Sirius Corporation faction...could make for interesting future missions?

Nice. I had three earth-likes of my own, but my top three systems were only around 110k value each (not counting first discovery bonuses). Given the huge number of reports, I'm pretty sure someone's done much better than that.

Mine were much further out, however. I'd hope the outposts are better than 500ly from Sol. :)

I have a lot of data to sell... Is this community goal already over?

Because i west to Nourse Orbital at Lambda Andromedae and i can't figure out how to partecipate to the community goal...
