Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Um, my video has come out at just under 30 minutes... I'll need more practice at doing highlights of combat!!! It's just rendering now and then it'll need to upload and process, so probably tomorrow morning before it's available.

I noticed that Mauze used the CSG logo at the start of the video, which is a great idea, so I've added a couple of 1080p PNG files to my CSG Dropbox folder.

Wow, i missed alot of changes around here since i took a break. can someone tell me just what the heck is going on?

Basically, we are just pushing the numbers up on CSG. The last few days have been military in nature...poor Federation troops around Hatsfeild Market are a lot more careful. Other than that, it's just trade with CSG owned stations, run any mission out of any outpost or station that has positive effects for CSG standing.

"There was a system called Lugh, where players worked against the government there, because they wanted to support a minority party. And a big part of it was that players actually wanted to test our system. They wanted to say:"Hey, if we actually do this, will it work?" And it did work. They were able to overthrow and install their own favorites.

I think he is talking about Baladin Gateway. But someone should tell him, that we need a fix before we can overthrow anything :p
You could also say that it did not work so far... ;)

Great Video!
"Today may be a good day to die, RAMMING SPEED" Epic :)

Yes! I was worried if it would go through Youtubes Content ID or not but it did :)
Orfeboys Asp must have looked like the Defiant after the beating the Anaconda gave him :D

Got to Lugh for the first time tonight with my Clipper, in a basic combat fit (mostly C-graded with a slightly undersized shield). While I was testing the ship's performance in combat at the nav beacon, Starchulz and an other commander joined me. We started to blow a few non-CSG ships and the feds quickly showed-up. We killed quite a few of them before I had to head back to Balandin due to shield cells, chaff and ammo exhaustion. Got 5 anacondas (one elite) and a few more fighters down myself, and witnessed my two wingmen wrecking serious havoc on the Federal ships too. Final bounty on my head : around 230k. Repair bill for 32% of hull integrity lost : 330k. The costs were covered by one run of my current trade route after I headed back to my homebase.

In the end, the bill was not as stingy as I feared and definitely well worth the fun. It also allowed me to push my Clipper to her limits and learn how to fly her in combat (what a drifty ride !). It also made clear that I need to buy myself an A-graded power distributor if I want to fire more than one C3 laser for any reasonable length of time and revise my choice of weapons slightly.

All in all, a very nice sortie. I'll come back when I can, see you then !

Hehehe, i had to bug out shortly after when two ananacondas decided they really wanted me dead.

Wouldn't running Federation missions from non-federation stations increase your rep? If so it would be a long, hard slog but possible to redeem yourself in federal eyes.

Although you might not get offered any missions if you were hostile, I suppose.

You could be right but I do not know for sure.

Your best bet is to run Federation missions OUTSIDE of Lugh system. That's what I've been doing to keep a neutral rep with LFE. I'm on good terms with many Federal factions in nearby systems as a result.

Of course, getting out of hostile status with LFE would take quite the effort. Usually it takes about ten Federation missions for me to get a good enough reputation with LFE to get missions for me to betray them.

Why bother? It's only LFE! ;P But good advice for those that want to work their way out of unfriendly with the galactic overlords. I am still deciding if I want to bother personally..gives some back story to my character...always has to shrug and smile sheepishly when asked about it..saying 'Well, that's a long story..'

Me too. I would get lonely without the interdictions every five minutes. Reminds me of how much they hate me and that only makes me smile :)

I took the Sidewinder out for a spin last night and was joined by Dubh in his Cobra. We interdicted a couple of ships and then hung around until the Feds showed up. I racked up about 36,000 bounty and he got about 90,000. So that is about 6 ships for me and about 15 for him. All Eagles and Vipers.

Not a huge amount but it we were only being polite to let them know we are still here...

Very good! Thanks for putting this up. I liked it at 21.23 when I got to see my ship swoop into the picture guns blazing :)

The other one was me (CMDR Connemara). I'd only swung by the nav beacon to grab an appropriate pirate for a CSG mission but when I saw you and Starschultz blasting away at the feds I couldn't help but join in for a bit.

Good work.

Fáilte Commander Connemara!

I was hailing you last night on the comms 'as Geailge'. You did not respond but I thought judging by your commander name you might have a bit of Irish.

I like the name by the way. A true 'Son of Conn' :)

Aha. So that was gaelic! I spotted it but I'm pretty sluggish on the comms - and it looked like you might have just accidentally mashed the keyboard ;).

The "Son of Conn" thing is a complete coincidence. It was an old-school Elite reference - "Jameson(s)" wasn't allowed and "Bushmills" was already taken so I went with the only other Irish whiskey I could think of at the time.

(And I am not Irish at all - especially after last Sunday :( )
