Greatly reduced fuel price

228 credits? I do not really care, but come on, is that not stupidly cheap?

I would expect it to cost a few grand to fuel that bad boy!.

Also it kind of makes the fuel scoop pointless for anything other than exploration.

oh well........................ Like i said, i am not that bothered, I just worry its a bit of an OTT knee jerk.

Fuel for my T9 is now pocket change, kinda makes the fuel scoop obsolete for traders now and I now have extra cargo racks for my T9. Good times are here indeed lol

ouch .... thats really way to cheap. 1.600 cr insted of 90.000 cr. thats unnormal and a bad sign. :(

soon the game will be to easy cause some ppl are complaining about everything... latest the prize of the fdl and the vult.

Interesting. When I first logged on last night, my T9's refuel cost was showing 10,000 credits - even though I actually had a full tank - so wonder if it's dropped with today's patch?

For short station to station trips, a scoop doesn't make sense. If you are hauling your viper 150 LYrs to a conflict zone, it remains a lot quicker to scoop

I am all for cheaper fuel cost, but that's a bit too low. You will still need a fuel scoop to for convenience. I wonder if the price for fuel scoops will go down.

How does this fuel cost compare to the cost of "Hydrogen Fuel" in the commodities market?

I think they should be exactly the same, if Hydrogen Fuel is available there (plus, perhaps a small percentage fee for the umbilical service and Space Fuelers Benevolent Fund).

If it's not available, the prices should remain relatively high as the fuel is too scarce there to be sold for shipment.

Ugh.

So are we to take this as FD having completely given in to the extremely vocal 'instant gratification' crowd? Seeing as they seem to be lining up a cut to the cost of the new ships too? :(

Fuel scooping is for explorers, situations when there's nowhere to refuel.

Useless in every other aspect. If you fly a smaller ship, it's cheap. For heavy hauling it can be over 100K per route, but you make enough money to pay for it. Spending 5-6 minutes near the Sun to refuel T-9 will cut your earnings per hour and places you in much greater risk. If you put the best fuel scoop in it, you will severely cut your cargo space - same result. So do as much routes as quickly as you can, and pay whatever the guy on the station pump says.

Just remember, it's a balancing act. They will find a happy medium. After they do, they will introduce the Fuel Quality metric. Just to add complexity..
