I loved it. Went on a pilgrimage there yesterday, made a few first discoveries on the 330 LY trip to get there, got interdicted by a Guild member, smiled and put a gonne up his aft thrusters, and got some money from Vines for it.
And then I just hovered on front of the station for a while, lost in thought - and sadness. I am all for immersion, but I'm a real person as well, and I guess Pterry had more than the average amount of fans among the devs and players. Honoring a great writer does not feel out of place in a fictional universe like Elite's.

I'm slightly worried that I don't see the University. Could possibly be quiet normal though, not seeing the University.
That's what I was hoping for. And for us not to be told where it was. Let the Explorers find it. Can you imagine the kudos that would come from being the first discoverer? It could have moved from system to system too much like the moveable station.

There are NPC ships called Grey Area and Zero Gravitas - I haven't spotted any others, but I keep my eyes open for them.
This was exactly my suggestion for the community goal station - made before Nimoy passed away and the whole memorial thing went nuclear.
