That's some serious computing power there! Can't go for a desktop due to work so the closest I can get to that in a laptop would be around $7000 but only 1 * 12 core ... You have to benchmark your system and post some results and make us all drool :)

He's trying to make you drool already, half of each of those 12 cores are, most likely, hyper-threads - so pretend cores...

mind you, twin hex-core Xeons...

<mode = 'homer simpson'>Mmmm</mode>

My assumption was that he was using Xeon processors.

You can buy dual-chip motherboards and Xeon 12core (24 thread) processors.

Extreme .. yes ... expensive .. absolutely .. be able to run ED .. hopefully :D

gothcha :p but its still knocking out all of your systems.... :D wait ill post some results have here somewhere a benchmark seen...

i made the "Unigine DX11 Benchmark" at extreme settings.

with a lowest fps at 16 and a highest at 80, averaging at 40-50 fps.

Nice pc but with x2 12 core Xeons why go for the AMD HD6800 series GPU's you should be rocking 290x crossfire at least :D
