Alpha Testers - How many of you will be uploading footage?

I think there was a caveat that they don't want *crappy videos.

So on reflection I'll probably keep mine to myself.

*They may not have actually used the word crappy..

There's not a lot of free Windows software out there. Are you bound to using Windows? I use iMovie on the Mac myself (Might even get Final Cut Pro. It's really come down in price). But I guess that's no good if you don't have a Mac. I've also use Cinelerra and OpenShot on Linux. Worth a try if you have a spare machine or dual-boot Linux/Windows box. [EDIT] Apparently OpenShot is coming to Windows in January!

There's already started thread in Private Backers Forum part, I will try to get it move to General (T.J., check it out if you read this). There's already 3 - 4 people added in list who will stream their sessions about Alpha on mostly Twitch.tv.

I don't think I'll be doing vids, but I'll probably be posting screenshots to Facebook, and providing public links to the albums :)

I'm looking forward to seeing everyones footage. It's the only chance I'll get to seeing gameplay greater than 3-4 frames per second. LOL :);)

A few seconds in the latest update gave me the grins, all this alpha footage might give me a stroke.

Anyone planning some fancy split screen or picture in picture videos so we can see what your doing control wise as well as see the game? Or just over the shoulder video instead of screen capture.

I am thinking about doing this. I still need to get some bits in place to do it though. Most notably my new HOTAS and a webcam. :smilie:

I've always thought that it is much more interesting to watch people's reactions to the game (especially when using the Rift) than the game footage itself.

Am thinking of posting on YouTube, but as so many are already going to be doing this, I'll only post something if I think it adds to what's already available ;) And as I've never edited video, I might only post if I can get something of sufficient quality.

I'll also try to get some over the shoulder footage on my DSLR and then put it in the corner of the actual game video (I'll be using Shadow Play).

If I get into Alpha I will post complete videos of every test with commentary. I'm about 100 pounds away from Alpha, still, but scrounging! If you feel generous enough to help me get there (and I owe one great guy who already helped!) my paypal is registered to <removed> ;)
