I can't seem to get it working, I have 365, ocr , placed ocr in tce folder, ran tce and changes macro settings as guide says, I get the setup box appear but can't click on anything, I just get a 'ding' sound when trying to click any part of the tce screen
I have to close it in task manager , and a pop up appears saying I cannot close excel because its is waiting from a response from me, so I shut it all down and rebooted tried again and left it to load before I touched anything
still same issue when i try to click a box
I also downloaded the runtime thing too
any ideas ?

Got some strange things happening after updating to beta 6 (and still the same in 7). I open the station list to check if my database from 1.37 made the transition in one piece and the list looks like this:
Only the last few stations I added are shown and then a whole lot of "NO DATA" strings. If I click any of them it crashes with an error and I have to kill the process. However trade scout finds all the routes I know it should, with all the stations I've added. The database opens well in Access and all the data is there, so I don't think it's corrupted. Ideas?

The situation with EliteOCR seems much worse in fact with the new version.
Also, is there any reason that the mouse wheel is disabled ?
1. What Trade Scout button? At the Main panel? The Route Planner is not included in TCE, only Trade Scout for bidirectional routes.
2. At the Trade Scout panel doubleclicking on a route does nothing. Selecting a route show up PREVIEW and START. Then clicking on START TRADE ROUTE, the route will be set to the nearest station selected, or if you are at one of them, sets the destination to the other station.

4. Thats not correct, it doesnt only let you select the first letter. Type in letter by letter and the search will be narrowed.
Please check UAC setting of windows or run TCE as Administrator. If you hear a 'ding' press ENTER. If there is an error, the debugger opens and show you the codeline, where the problem is.
Could you upload your database, so i cant download it to check, where the problem is.
I did nothing to the mousewheel.

Here's the database I'm having issues with.
Latest beta : when the star window pops up (when you discover a new system) the excel window pops up too. If you hide tce it's impossible to get it back from hitting your hot key.
I think it happens if I accidentally alt tab to the excel window. After that it shows up all the time.
Rest of the bugs I had seem to be fixed now

WoW, RL took me away for a few days, but I didn't expect 9 pages and 7 versions !
Just finished reading the pages, will jump right in with beta 8 now.

just made it work by adding the file path to excel in the target path of the shortcut i created to start trade computer-
ie created a short cut to trade computer
right click properties and pick shortcut tab
in target field i made it look like - "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\EXCEL.EXE" "C:\Users\usernamehere\Desktop\TCE 1.38 beta 3\TCE.xlsm"
then apply and click advanced, in here tick run as administrator and then ok and ok again
run the shortcut and the error is gone and it loaded first attempt
ps. there is no appconfig.bak file present.
now to check my machine
Thanks ! this gave me the clue I needed to solve a small bug I had !
On the first run of every new version/update, No matter what I did to UAC,
Excel would ask me to "Enable Editing" before actually starting TCE.
That would not have been so bad, but on clicking Enable it would try to open TCE.xml many times,
I'd say 3 or 4 by the number of flashes, and of couse, it would crash, with an error 91 (if my memory is not corrupted lol)
Everything would be ok after killing Excel with the task manager and starting TCE again.
But it was still a pain.
So, after reading your post, I copied Update TCE.xml V1.38beta7 over my old one and right clicked it.
Properties showed this :
That Unblock check box magically took all the pain away !
As a newbi user of TCE I would just like to say congrats and a big thank you to Eventure and team for creating and developing such a wonderful addon. The development and ongoing effort and time are very much appreciated. Well done to you all.
As a quick aside, could anyone help me with this simple query: Having established my own database in ver 1.37, what files would I need to backup if I'm upgrading to 1.38. I don't want to lose all the existing data I have.

Hello and welcome here,
i suggest you rename your old TCE folder, like TCE.V1.37, then install/unpack the new full-version at the same place, take EliteOCR folder from your old to the actual TCE folder and update to the newest version.
The import function is disable/removed, because of problems with it. I will release a standalone Database Manager for that. So copy your old TCE.mdb and Panel.mdb database from the DB folder to the actual DB folder and your old TCE.ini from the main folder to the actual main folder. You can also make a new one, if you like.
Thats it.

Please tell me, when TCE is completely loaded, did you see Microsoft Excel at your taskbar? If so, click at the TCE label at the top-left corner to make it disappear.

1. I can't set the Hide/Unhide keybind
clicking the button changes it to PRESS A KEY, but i tried all of my keyboard and TCE doesn't see it.
If I click the button again it goes back to HOTKEY TO HIDE/UNHIDE TCE
F4 was in there from the previous version but it was not doing anything after beta7 update.
2. Everytime I try to paste something, (destination, reference system...) what comes out is :

1. Hmm.. working here, as it should. Anyone else having problem to select a hotkey?
2. found the problem, will be fixed.
3. Its the Summary or the Database? The Summary can be open manually by clicking on your actual star system name at the Cartography panel. The Summary should be delayed 10 to 15 secs. after jumping, but how long it takes for you to reach another system?
Update (V1.38 beta 8) released:
- Added reset color button
- Fixed clipboard show #NV
- Position panel fixed, not showing all stations recorded.

I had the same thing and ocr now crashes randomly.
Found it, will be fixed.
Found amother bug with clipboard (station instead of star name). Will be fixed soon.
