a fix for this issue has been published and should be boosting (4 pips) its way towards your devices as we speak. MEGA THANKS to all CMDRs who helped me locate and squash this bug. I'm keeping the bug description in the OP for now as I'm still awaiting positive reports from users that this is 100% working.Bumping thread to bring attention to the next bug on the list - trades sometimes not showing. Please read the top of the original post for details. Thanks!!

Cheers!
Thanks for the feedback, I will stick it all on the rainy-day list!Works well. Just wish something like this was built in so we didn't need to manually type prices.
Suggestions :
Per station faction as well as per system, to record those pirate outposts
Check boxes for systems to include in trade calcs, so I can exclude those that are too far away. Ideally, the app would do a distance calc based on coordinates and let us filter based on distance, but I don't know how to get system coords.
As an alternative to the above, enter list of systems that can be jumped to from current system, and include a filter for 1 jump trades. Down side would be the extra typing.
Cut off profit limit, to save hundreds of minor trades being listed.
Enter a commodity, get told which price each station buys and sells for. Good if a mission needs, say, algae, to find where to buy. Or if I find myself with a hull full of something and wondering where to sell it.
Click a route and see only trades between those stations. Maybe Palladium is best profit, but if supply gets low, do I have a decent backup along the same route?
Any way to speed up data entry would be great, but I fully expect pointing my phone at the computer screen and having it read the commodity prices to be beyond the scope of the app.
New version published with system list sorting option, will update onto your devices shortly.
this update has deleted all my data
Yeah thanks for letting me know about the dissapearing data, unfortunately I made a rather huge mistake I've been trying to avoid since the get-go and that is changing the signature of the objects I save to file - the effect of this is it can't read or write to the old files anymore. And I cannot fix it! What this means to someone who has gathered data for several months is just... well, horrific really. All I can do at this point I guess is apologise and move on. So, I'm sorry about thathi dude, love the app, nice an simple, like you say it's pen and paper with ought the smudges lol. this update has deleted all my data though, hopefully just an issue with my tablet but thought I should let you know just on case.
kind regards
ps. have you ever considered adding a hide/show function on the commodity page to hide or show empty commodity fields? just a passing thought as all my data is currently hiding at the moment lol.

Still, just because you where the first to bring this to my attention your hide-0-price-commodities feature will be the next thing I implement! Cheers. (plus it's a very good idea, which I think others have requested earlier as well).
aw bless, these things happen dude, I'm sure we all appreciate the work you have put into this app, it's such a useful tool! sometimes a clean slate is a good thing, I'm going to use it as an excuse to go back and revisit some old haunts and routesthanks for looking at the hide-o-price feature (fun name, I like lol) and your continued work on the tool. all the best
That would be really cool although it's kinda out of the scope for now. I am thinking about maybe adding a csv import feature though, given enough time.Blargh - I cracked the screen of my Nexus 7 a few days back, and now really regretting it as I'd love to give this a go.
Any chance of some sort of OCR from a screen grab witht he Android device camera, by chance?
Oh well, hoping to get a new Android tab or phone soon...

This is what I've done so far. Would you like the category names to be visible like they are now or should they be hidden too? Your call![]()
Only showing category names where there are edited commodities is a great idea, I think that's what we'll do!Hehe, morning dude, you really dont hang round, and that looks very smart!it really looks the business as you have it dude, the visible categories actually break it up nicely, while still allowing the page to be condensed. Im not sure if its doable, but you could always do a compromise, and just show the categorie titles for the items that have a value in the list (although that sounds like it may be more complicated to code than it sounds) either way, this commander will still be happy with the feature if you chose to, include them, exclude them, partly include them.. damn, you could even make the highlights baby pink and id still think it looks great, and show it too friends lol. warm regards. *thanks for asking for feedback, most unexpected, and very kind of you.
