I'm in the first beta which is really cool, but I'd be in the alpha if I was rich, apart from selling body parts thats not going to happen. haha
Roll on the beta!!
I upped my pledge too yesterday to the Digital Download Pack, seemed the obvious thing to do. Where will the backers forum appear when I get it? (and how long does it normally take - it's been 24hrs since I upped my pledge)
I'd love to go for the £80 digital download or £85 kickstarter special option, but I've just not seen enough to make me confident enough to press that "Buy" button
Given how imminent the game is, I'd have liked screen shots and/or videos of space stations, construction yards, general game play and interesting astronomical vistas etc to give a feeling for what's coming. If I'm right, all we've seen thus far is the Capital Ship video and misc. videos mainly of ships in asteroid fields? Or have I missed something?
I'm clearly just too cautious![]()
Well, no pressure, and if you aren't sure to do it, just don'tProblem with sandbox procedural generated games are that they can be only shown if all pieces are in showable state. For FPS game, if you have one FPS level for a game, but rest is still in development, you can fully show it. Not so easy with PG game. They can show us only first alpha level (but we know different scenarios are coming anyway), but they sure have already docking ready, some parts of space stations, etc. But we won't see it until near the end of development.
So just be cool - it's your money and your decision![]()
It appears not. Spend responsibly. But isn't the release date four or so months away? Surely most things should be "showable" by now?

I suspect it's just a giant hoax. All will be revealed on April the 1st.I have this feeling that FD doesn't show us stuff because they don't want to - they want to keep to surprise us, so that means not showing game in unfinished state. Heck, while alpha in dev video looks playable, even now they drag their feet a little bit. They just have set up high marks for released content.
Remember, there's 60 people working on the game. We have seen about 10 of them![]()
