A Nice Quiet Place To Call Home...

My home changes as I get fully allied and move on. I normally select a high pop, high tech station so there is a good selection of parts, and easy access to non lethal weapons which I always carry to keep the natives happy. I am not too bothered with grade a trade routes, you can trade with profit anywhere

I haven't selected a home system as such yet, although i'm allied with the Empire and friendly with the Alliance and Feds. If i have a home, its the whole galaxy ;)

Leesti. Good outfitting options, RES and Navpoint for bountyhunting, central inside a cluster of systems that are very close to each other, with a lot of them having rare trading goods. Also has sentimental value for me, and is part of the Alliance, which is my favourite faction, lore-wise.

So far I have had two home bases, I just found a system that i can make 100,000cr one way and 90000.00 coming back with a 450cr fuel bill, so I will hang out around here until the CR run out or until i graduate to the heavies Python Orca or Clipper, I will skip the T7 and T9 unless I find a great trade route that can handle the ship size.
Pick a spot and get yourself an adventure. If you are ever bored look me up and we can clean up part of the galaxy, the Feds and the Empies are messing it up. So strong wills, big guns and sharp tactics will go far. Happy hunting and great profits CMDR.

I made Ethgreze my home. Not because it has rares but because it had Alioth Independents missions so I could get access to Alioth.

I'll probably move my ships to Alioth just because its a quiet system so tends to be a safe place to be.

a suggestion to make my home ?:)

Hi all just grinded my 3.5 m credits so going to get my viper and kit it out and see what else the game has to offer apart from trading. I am now looking for a home where I can store my type 6 and use my viper from. I am looking for a place where I can also do bb missions for federation as I want the progression to work towards the ship . I am not sure where to head to set up my home base . Any ideas would be great. Also I must be able to buy my viper and kit it out as well . I know im asking a lot but I know a lot of people on here have a lot of knowledge . Thank you very much

Try Komovoy. Alliance, Federation and Empire all within easy jump range for the bounty cash in. Silves has most of the equipment you want. Lots of Fereration systems around for BB missions.

LTT 700 - some independent systems between Federation and Empire (LTT has a Fed and Empire station great for Bounties).
LTT 700 and the Extraction/Refinery right next to it could do with your help to stay independent. The Fed are in LTT 700, Emperor's Grace have expanded into the Extraction/Refinery system whilst the ruling neutral faction stuff their faces in Economic Boom.
Fun to counter (gonna take a few), and worst case a Fed system right next to an Empire system is going to be great fun in a few months in open play!

Mine is Summerland. ^.^
Like someone said, I just like the name. Plus it is in the very heart of the Empire, so I have everything necessary in my reach.

Agreed, Alliance space is fantastic. Its pretty quiet, but a few of the Commanders I ran into working up permits were friendly.

Went homeless for a while for the sake of exploration. But leaving my precious ASP out in the void when exiting the game gives me an uncomfortable feeling all the time...

My Perfect Home System

Okay guys. So, I've been spending the last few months looking for that "perfect" system to call home, and truth be told, I haven't found it yet. I've scoured the galaxy map, and just haven't had any luck yet. But I have high hopes that I'll be able to find it. With the billions of star systems in this game, I'm bound to find it eventually right? I know only a few hundred of those are inhabited, but I can still dream!

Okay, so here's what I want in my home system:

Mainly, I want a system that has a blue star, preferably a large one like an O or B class super giant, but since those are literally the rarest stars in the galaxy, I'll settle for any blue star. Because I like blue. I'd also like the system to have a molten world to visit. I love lava worlds. Along with a few gas giants. I'd also like it to have a major station and a few scattered outposts. I don't care which, but I'd like one or more of those stations/outposts to be orbiting a local planet that has a ring or belt system for easy RES access. I don't really care all that much about the allegiances or the factions the system is in. But I'd pick Empire or Alliance over the Federation if possible. The stations don't have to be high tech. I'm perfectly happy traveling to Founder's World when I need an upgrade.

Honestly, I'm not really all that picky. I just want a blue star system with a decent number of unique and diverse planets in the system. I don't care how many stars the system has as long as the main station or primary outpost is within 10,000Ls of the host star. With stations close to one with icy or metallic rings. I don't really care about the economic state of the inhabitants, or the government it's under. I just want a blue starred and diverse home system that's interesting to explore.

I can't help with yours but a home system that is ideal would be......

A high tech world with a totally stable and profitable trade route, a short Ls route from the star on both ends and reasonably safe for trading. A close by system where every faction bar the main one does not appear in my home world so I can use that for combat without affecting my home world. A nearby main faction system for the other two so that I can get rid of my bounties every so often.

I found one and have spent all but the first 3 weeks of playing based there. All my ships live there and I use a long range Sidey to collect them if they are not available at home.
