People using hacks

So there was an Orca in leesti just now, I cant name him , he boosted away from my FDL at a rate of 1 kilometer per second. my FDL can catch anything not a clipper or cobra. Frontier I put a ticket in, please ban this guy, he was elite combat rank too, Hacks are so easy to obtain in this game, please address this in powerplay.

The Orca is a very fast ship and can outrun a FdL without using hacks.

I'm not sure if that is or isn't cheating but I do know that reporting people is a pointless exercise as they are not banned, even after multiple occasions of hacking/cheating. I myself have simply stopped reporting anyone now as there's no point.

footage is compressing and uploading. the speeds this guy boosted away are not natural within the game, I have seen what the orca can boost to, this was something else.

Op joined the forum in October last year. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that he probably understands that ships can surpass their stock speed when upgraded. He's uploading vid and stated that the target was traveling at 1000m/s, which even if it's an estimate would suggest the ship in question was doing around twice the supposed hard limit on ship speed.

Hands up who thinks an Orca can fly at 1km/s?

The OP said the guy was getting away at 1Km/s - i.e. 1000m/s. Delta speed. If he's giving chase too, then the guy was going even faster than 1000m/s.

Assuming the OP is not mistaken - this looks like speeds well outside the normal range.

Im in a FDL, i engage in pvp as often as I can, i know what speeds ships are capable of, the orca cannot do twice my speed, it cannot be .5km at time 0 and at 4km at time 2s it is just impossible without the use of hacks.

My Orca does 438, FDL maxes out at 406.
Its quicker, but not 1 km/s quicker, unless you were going backwards.

Attacking a poor Orca in your FDL is overkill anyway. Go find yourself a player in an Anaconda.

The boost speed listed there is not accurate at all. It says the FDL boost speed is 350, most of us know that with a pretty standard loadout it can easily go over 400, mine goes 406.

Sure it can, because of the lag that is extremely common in open...Heck I have had ships 1km away and the next second 7km and then pop out of range.
