Dear Sir. Is anything planned for 1.3 to make trading in prohibited items worth while considering the risk compared to vanilla trading. It would add some life to otherwise dull trading and make smuggling (not piracy or salvage collection) in to something that was covered in depth in the dda.

Serious Question:

With 1.3 the AI is supposed to get a dificulty boost, how much are you satisfied with the overall challenge the games gives the player right now?
 
Will you have to be in Open Play to Powerplay and will the universe be noticeably affected for those in Solo Play?
 
This would be great if mobile repair facilities (possibly on larger ships so small ships can dock) were introduced. As it is now, it would break the exploration mode IMO.

What is in it for pilot's who would prefer not to pledge allegiance to any of these galactic powers? Both in terms of gameplay opportunities, and in terms of perks and rewards, because the newsletter makes it seem like you miss out on everything if you remain neutral.

Joining powers is optional and you can continue to play the game as you do now if you don’t want to get involved. You do need to join a power to gain the perks, but changes to systems from being controlled by a power apply to anyone in that system.

In other words the markets and laws can change when the system Power changes.
 
In the newsletter, it was mentioned that an intersection between a trading power and a military power will result in piracy missions.

Will this make NPC piracy more profitable or will we continue to need to focus on players?

How much of Powerplay is automated? Do you guys have to make the factions go where the players decide, or can the game do it itself?

Hmm...

Since I worked mostly alone during the last months on supporting Alliance Factions within Systems to gain or retain Power (Influence) :

In what respect will Power Play affect personal goals set by individual Players (i.e. at the fringe of space with little Player traffic), for example as to make existing Factions Extend into nearby Systems or i.e. helping them take Control from another Faction inside a System?

Is that direct/distinct but rather local Faction support something Power Play will scale up? Or is it going to work entirely parallel to such activity, having actually different goals?
(especially for Players with no access or connection to large Groups of other Players - in essence that would also be a valid question for Solo Mode Players)

Will it be possible to play more of a spy role and embed yourself within a power with the purpose of destabilizing it or retrieving secrets/fleet movements for another?
