[REQUEST] Headlight "on" indicator

Not a crucial issue, but it would be nice to have a visual indication on the dash of the headlight on/off status.

At the moment, unless there's something in front of you which becoems illuminated (or not) there is no way of knowing whether your lights are on or not, without counting how many times you've toggled the switch.

Well, you can check under the functions tab, but I agree, a little LED or something would be cool.

Supposedly there's this PvP guy. He files around with no lights on. When someone flashes his lights at him, he deploys hard points and destroys them. True story.

When the speedo flips upside down it indicates you're flying in reverse, assuming that's what you meant.
For the headlights issue, turn your speakers up or change your audio settings to night mode. The headlights make different noises when they turn on or off.

I was kind of hoping they would have done that from the start. Always turned on my lights in PVP combat just in case.

Yup, totally agree.

Actually I think that landing gear and mass lock should just be icons too. This would make them smaller, avoid requiring translation (long words looking messy/requiring abbreviation etc) and allow more space for further icons to be added in future.

They light up the dark. Like most lights do.

Useful if you have asteroids around you on the dark side.

Yes we do, after docking and going to grab some beers we come back to a flat battery which isnt popular with the station personnel who want the landing bay space.
