New Nvidia Driver (GTA V release) 350.12 - Game Crashes

No problems with 350 on my 970 gtx, w7 64 bit. You may need to enable dsr in the nvidia control panel in order for it to appear in nvidia experience / optimal settings.

I was having TDR issues (graphics driver timeout crash) with the current release pretty consistently, reverted to 347.88. It stopped crashing where it was and so far seems to be going smoothly. Using the EVGA GTX 980 FTW.

Update to previous post...

Although I had a crash 30s in just after updating, I put this down to network issues, and that game has played okay since then (rebooted the hub and PC).

However, I have noticed that the anti-aliasing on fine lines is wrong - especially noticable on orbit lines and gravity well rings (blue). I say "wrong" and not just poor as it looks like its being applied in reverse - as the line transitions across pixel boundary it fades out, but does not fade in on the new raster line, producing an elongated beaded effect.

This seems trivial, but is very distracting as I have never seen pixelation before on my current rig.

Bit late to the party, but getting this pretty consistently with an EVGA GTX 980 FTW and the 350 drivers. :( Can run Heaven bench and FurMark for hours on end, but Elite is crunching hard.

Just wanted to chime in and say... I have not experienced any issues with the latest driver.

I even ran ED for over 10 hours jumping to Sgr A*. Not a single problem.

i5-4690, GTX 770, 16GB RAM, Win7 64-bit.

So for various reasons I updated the driver yesterday, not a slightest issue (no improvement either). Sorry I know it doesn't help much.

Several people have posted that Elite is causing issues with overclocked 980s (no idea if yours is) and it seems to be happening since the most recent drivers were introduced. I'm one of those people: I now have to run Elite at stock speeds while more graphically demanding games and applications are perfectly dandy with overclocking applied.

A couple of times the screen has glitched out but the game kept running and I was unable to use weapons until resetting.

It seems to me the game is not a priority any more and it gets slightly worse with every update.

Yea similar issues here, gtx 970. I think elite has some optimisation problems since 1.2 and there are definately some bugs creeping in.

Just gonna add, I have no issues here with that Driver, in any game (including GTA).

Perhaps it's a problem with specific setups.

I used to have lots of crashes with my old card 560 gtx, likely due to overheating, got a 960gtx last week, updated to 350.12 drivers, and all seems fine in last 5-6 hrs of playing.

E: D seems to put more of the chip to use comparing to many other games, so overheating may be an issue for many, especially if your card has been in the PC for a while and the cooler has dust on it, that is likely the reason downclocking helps with many issues.

Just wanted to update folks. On a whim, I turned off all of the cache checks and virtual caching, thinking maybe the network or hard drive caching were not releasing a file fast enough for D3D to be happy. Played for 3 hours with no crashes, with multiple shifts/jumps, dockings, dog fights, etc. I did notice more quick pauses when jumping into a system or approaching a dock, but nothing untoward. I'll be playing more this evening. If I can get a few 2-3 hours sessions in, or one long session, I'll call it "fixed" enough to play for now.
