Guy crushing ships deliverated on Gerorge Lucas station

iirc insurance loans are being increased in 1.3 (?) Rather than leave the game may be worth trying again when 1.3 lands (providing support doesn't help you out)>

Just not sure whether to take the FDL or the Python, and how many in the wing. Decisions...decisions...
If you are to face the one who needs chest cream, keep in mind he also has the bankroll to self destruct a combat anaconda and not care.
which means you might be facing one take the python imo.

A tip for you when you run into something like this in the future. If you're sure they're griefing by ramming other players, exit the game, relog in Solo, and then leave the station. Once you're clear of the station, take a short FSD hop, drop out of Supercruise, and exit from Solo, then relog back into Open. This way the floating poo won't be able to hit your ship. :D

Too late for that now :/ I couldn't even get out of the station

With all these threads on the forums about "griefers at george Lucas station", you'd think anyone on the forums would know to stay away. Oh well, I guess the power of rares is stronger than common sense.

I only wanted to upgrade my ship. I also haven't seen those threads yet..

I imagine Hornet is about to head out there and shoot someone for you. :D

The way they act, they probably wouldn't care^^

Kind of hard to prove intentionally ramming eh? They can be reported but there'd be no way to verify it.

Depends on how many times they've been reported in the past I suppose, if it's the 2 I'm thinking of, I dare say FD have a considerable amount of reports for them.

A seriously flawed attempted fix for in station ramming is already slated for the next patch.
Fixed that for you. Despite what Michael said about FDs approach to cheats, it seems clear that they are not prepared to take action against these griefers. Fiddling around with in-game mechanics that at best will make it a little harder for the griefers to do this, whilst making things worse for everyone else, is not really a solution. But FD do not seem to be prepared to wield the ban hammer.

Video evidence of both of them boosting out of the "wrong" side of the slot, line astern, one immediately following the other then one doubling back, into the station, to make sure of the "kill" might tend towards proving intent....

Not everyone records their game 24/7. Sure some people might get recorded but not everyone or even a large portion.

True.
I love the shadowplay background recording option ;)
I set the temp folder for it to a ram disk... so no HD trashing or performance problem.
Last 5 minutes written to disk on a keypress is a nice thing to have :)

They're working on getting let into the shadow-servers.

Seems genius, gotta get in the rams before 1.3 releases.

Completely agree, look at latest update.

There have been a few updates over the last couple of days.

You will need to be more specific (and if you're referring to the recent communication about cheaters / hackers only being shadowbanned then don't worry - saw that and wept for FD ...)

Whut?

I do! All the time. Going slower cuts heavily into profits.

The speed limit/restriction does not stop you boosting in and out of stations and providing you do not hit any other ships whilst boosting you will not be effected, please do read how this is being introduced, rather then assume it's a mandatory speed limit.

Yes your right, I was referring to the cheaters/hackers update posted today.

Internal metrics will show it. All they have to do is pull up the stats on how many times a given player has 'accidentally' bumped someone in a given timeframe at that station. If I pull up the logs and look at PlayerX's statistics and I see that in a two hour span, he seemed to magically run into another ship every time he left the pad, I'm going to be highly skeptical of any excuses he may have as to how it happened.

I'm sure the Dev/Support team also has ways to monitor a given area as a 'spectator' to see what's going on. We were able to do that many moons ago in Shadowbane and Everquest while hunting griefers and botters. FD has better tech/resources available now than we did back then, so I can't imagine they can't do it if they want to.

I was under the impression there's no wrong side of the slot. The lights are there to ensure proper orientation not traffic direction.

As I said, not everyone or even a large amount have constant recording software. Some people might get caught that way but not many.

Do they have that running? If they record all ramming information then you're right, but I don't think they do.

I don't get why they don't do it based on damage, if you take away more than 2 rings on shield for example. A speed limit is stupid, especially if you're a small ship hitting something big. He's not even going to feel a tickle but you get punished for it regardless. IMO you should be fired at if you down shields, or at least a big fine.
