Kind of hard to prove intentionally ramming eh? They can be reported but there'd be no way to verify it.From the last Dev update:
As this is going on for a long time now, i think it should qualify for severe harassment.
If you are to face the one who needs chest cream, keep in mind he also has the bankroll to self destruct a combat anaconda and not care.Just not sure whether to take the FDL or the Python, and how many in the wing. Decisions...decisions...

A tip for you when you run into something like this in the future. If you're sure they're griefing by ramming other players, exit the game, relog in Solo, and then leave the station. Once you're clear of the station, take a short FSD hop, drop out of Supercruise, and exit from Solo, then relog back into Open. This way the floating poo won't be able to hit your ship.![]()
With all these threads on the forums about "griefers at george Lucas station", you'd think anyone on the forums would know to stay away. Oh well, I guess the power of rares is stronger than common sense.

A video would show the difference between a collision and repeatedly and intentionally shoving someone into a wall quite easily![]()

A much better solution would be for FD to deal with them ...
I only wanted to upgrade my ship. I also haven't seen those threads yet..
Fixed that for you. Despite what Michael said about FDs approach to cheats, it seems clear that they are not prepared to take action against these griefers. Fiddling around with in-game mechanics that at best will make it a little harder for the griefers to do this, whilst making things worse for everyone else, is not really a solution. But FD do not seem to be prepared to wield the ban hammer.A seriously flawed attempted fix for in station ramming is already slated for the next patch.

Not everyone records their game 24/7. Sure some people might get recorded but not everyone or even a large portion.
Completely agree, look at latest update.
Whut?
I do! All the time. Going slower cuts heavily into profits.
There have been a few updates over the last couple of days.
You will need to be more specific (and if you're referring to the recent communication about cheaters / hackers only being shadowbanned then don't worry - saw that and wept for FD ...)

Video evidence of both of them boosting out of the "wrong" side of the slot, line astern, one immediately following the other then one doubling back, into the station, to make sure of the "kill" might tend towards proving intent....
Internal metrics will show it. All they have to do is pull up the stats on how many times a given player has 'accidentally' bumped someone in a given timeframe at that station. If I pull up the logs and look at PlayerX's statistics and I see that in a two hour span, he seemed to magically run into another ship every time he left the pad, I'm going to be highly skeptical of any excuses he may have as to how it happened.
I'm sure the Dev/Support team also has ways to monitor a given area as a 'spectator' to see what's going on. We were able to do that many moons ago in Shadowbane and Everquest while hunting griefers and botters. FD has better tech/resources available now than we did back then, so I can't imagine they can't do it if they want to.
