Well.... I have now experienced the STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMELS BACK. Picked up a mission from Abraham Lincoln to go to HUTTON ORBITAL in Alpha Centauri. Flying a maxed out VIPER. I waste 1:20 minutes only to get 2 minutes away and have the mission timer run out. Why would some programmer do this to the people who bought their product? I DONT GET IT. Therefore you will not get anything else from me. Goodbye ELITE.

It's almost like they forgot to put the exact distance to the station from the main star right in the system map. Oh wait, no they didn't.

Well, this is kind of like saying you spend 1:20 minutes writing a test essay and you were suppose to hand your paper in at 1:18 minutes. Then you rage quit the class...? I don't think you would do that to begin with, plus you have the ability to check the remaining time.

Though that 6,942,524 Ls is a little messed up...

A simple line of code in the procedural generation should do the trick...

if(distanceToSun>acceptableTravelRange)
{
generateStation=false;
}

or something like that...

Well... FD must wanted people to sleep and afk in their game I guess .-.

have to say, when did you pick up the mission and secondly if the mission only had a few mins left on it why take it up in the first place?

Don't think the blame is on the programmer..... I think the lesson learnt is don't accept missions that you're not 100% you'll achieve within the time remaining.

Check the timer before you take the mission.... it tells you how long is left.... no excuse except your own ignorance.

I would hate to see your reaction to boosting into an asteroid with 3mil in unclaimed bounties... I bet that would somehow be FDevs fault too.
