The Alpha Files

I'm sure I'm not the first person to notice this, but there are a few nuggets of information about ships hidden in the alpha files. According to Michael Brookes, the info isn't completely accurate, but it does give us something to speculate about. It comes from the 'SharedAudioAssets folder'.

Adder
Anaconda
Asp
Beluga liner
Cobra Mk III
Cutter
DiamondBack
Dolphin
DroneCargo
Eagle
Empire Capital
Empire Fighter
Federation Capital
Federation Corvette
Federation Dropship
Federation Fighter
Fer De Lance
Hauler
Imperial Courier
Imperial Liner
LakonType9Heavy
Orca
Panther
Python
SideWinder
Type6Transporter
Type7Transporter
Viper
Vulture

Much of it seems fairly obvious, though it's nice to see the Python in there. I reckon that might make a nice ship for pirates.

Dropship?

That had me wondering. Surely that would be for the planetary landings rather than the first release... Mind you, if they're thinking about dropships for later on that means ground battles, which means a whole lot more fun. Even if we're just flying around in our ships, there could be missions to escort the dropship to the LZ and defend the troops from any enemy attacks.

Imperial courier IS on the list. Mmmm. Thats my ship. I bagsy it and you can't have it.

My precious.

Don't look at it as a definitive list. It's <ahem> not. ;)

Cheers,

Drew.

Beautiful list. The 25 be among the 29 of the liste ? Perhaps others instead, who are not in the list ? We shall see. Where is the Cobra MK IV ?

Hello!
Is it possible to show all the directory tree in a folder with a game?
I want to explore the opportunities provided by the localization of the game on the Russian language.

Hello DobrijZmej ! And pleased to see you with us, again on the general forums, of Frontier.

:)

Hmmm, exciting stuff; if a little sketchy :p

I've been looking into hacking an .OVL browser together to give that folder structure like view.

Anyone interested?
