And that says it all. You have the Anaconda now for trading.Am I the only weird mutant that enjoyed flying my T9? It was big, heavy, and hard to maneuver, just like a container ship _should_ feel. I flew mine shieldless with a docking computer in the class 2 slot. Have the anaconda now for trading.

Why not keep flying the T9?
Because.. (for me: )
it's entirely unlike any other ship (in a very bad way) in the game. Roll slower than pitch or yaw? Say what now?
it's too slow (which is insane, given the options)
it's too big (50 less cargo in an Anaconda, which is so much smaller, and I've never touched the letterbox)
it's not fun to fly. At all. Even with A thrusters. With B->E thrusters, it's horrific. With A, it's barely tolerable.
Sorry, I stand by my statement. The T9 flies so bad, it's bugged, in my opinion. Especially the base T9.
No you weren't. I loved the T9 I wish I had a reason to keep it. Unfortunately that's a big chunk of change to have taking up space in the hanger. All of the trading vessels need to out jump they're multirole counterparts in trading configurations or at least haul substantally more. They are throw away ships at the moment unfortunately... The type 9 needs a buff imho.Am I the only weird mutant that enjoyed flying my T9? It was big, heavy, and hard to maneuver, just like a container ship _should_ feel. I enjoyed the T9 as well for the same reasons.Am I the only weird mutant that enjoyed flying my T9? It was big, heavy, and hard to maneuver, just like a container ship _should_ feel. I flew mine shieldless with a docking computer in the class 2 slot. Have the anaconda now for trading.
I suppose my question is, can you generally escape from NPC's by boosting away? And, how does this differ with no shields?
On the bright side, I was impressed with how easily I managed to evade two other interdiction attempts - I had been lead to believe this was impossibly hard with the 9.
Its a cash cow..find a good route say 13ly...turn your brain off put some music or film on(if ya got a second monitor) once you get past the first hour and see the profit you may start to like
Go for more cargo --500T. you wont need weapons so get rid of those and add a couple of shield boosters and chaff. If you are playing in open and are pirated submit and give cargo, but in my experience unless you are working on a community goal or trading in the hot spots of lave diso you will seldom even see another cmdr let alone a pirate . If you are playing solo or private group and are interdicted, submit, put 4 pips to engines, boost, chaff and fsd away, you will take no damagei know the T9 is a brick but i'm not buying it to fight anacondas here (got a vulture for that) i don't plan on using it for any form of combat. the only reason i asked is i was wondering form EXPERIENCED T9 PILOTS who actually have waited the differences.... is 100 tonnes of cargo more important then MASSIVELY more powerful shields??? as in, NOT COMBAT, but more so the odd (or often) encounter with pirates?... as i have little experience with transports and the risk form pirates, but can 100 tonnes make back my insurance form a run? or should i go for shields and avoid ever having to pay insurance (i almost forgot... AND the cargo)
so to sim it up i guess thats 2 questions i have.
- if T9, then will 100 tonnes of cargo pay off the extra 5mil insurance costs of dying with crappy shields (or should i just sacrifice 100 tonnes of cargo for epic shields)
- or does the T9 only give cash over GREAT amounts of time, so grinding in a vulture making 1mil an hour more worth it?
