I want to play around with the new modules and ships on the shipyard! It's a slight obsession for me haha when they released the hint that the courier had 3 med hard points... oh lordy.... I love me some ship stats. And I don't even like the Empire!

Likely they won't be launching the Beta until full hands are on deck in the UK; so probably another 2 hours or so.

2:36 pm here at GMT +8 ... Waiting like an expectant father for my beta baby to be able to hold it and play with the diamondback and courier and see what powerplay is going to bring... :D

Anyone have any ideas how much longer we have to wait???

Already at work. They wont let me out 'till 5. AAAARRRGGGH!

I want all of the above, but also want to try cruising past planets with (hopefully), NO STUTTER :D

Pfff, amateurs...

You're supposed to time it better. The day of the release is not a good day to get sick. The day after, on the other hand... ;)

They probably won't release the beta 'till later afternoon, and then it will be a pain to get it to download because everybody is doing it. Much better to do it tomorrow morning when everybody's at work ;)

I can just hope there will be an endless spill of information. I want to get into mining with my Python and a swarm of drones

I want someone to post a video of hundreds of drones doing their thing. That's definitely going to be an amazing sight and make for some good visuals (provided you can send out more than 1 at a time I hope). Might also make my laptop combust but such is the price.

Whilst waiting for "1.3 beta day" I tried mining last night as it's the only thing I hadn't done (apart from piracy or psycho killing) in Elite. Despite the comments I've read in the forums, I actually found it fun, chasing the fragments around whilst trying to avoid the spinning asteroids.

However, I did come to the conclusion that you can't make much profit in the same time as other professions so I am looking forward to seeing the changes to mining in 1.3 and seeing if that helps with profits.

I may still on occasion do it the old fashioned way (chase fragments around) when I am not after profit but instead a bit of a change from my normal activities in Elite :).
