War in Gilya - Help "Unlock" a new rare comodity fight for the Gilya Law Party

No update to faction influence yet, will check again before I go to work.
The Gilya Law Party currently have 64.6% and Gilya Vision Organisation have 23.5%, looking forward to seeing the change :D

My recent experiences with Civil Wars :

Despite making many Millions in Combat Bonds (in a System I was the only combat ship acc. Traffic report), I found the effect I had in terms of Influence and Winning the Conflict was : 0 (Zero).
Nada.

It seemed bugged and the only means to push influence was
a) intensive trading into Conflict Station/Outpost (which actually shouldn't work from what I've read)
b) running Missions for the Faction (highly unreliable due to many bugs around Mission effects)
c) Bounty Hunting on opposing Faction - or simply destroying their Faction Ships (if Reputation & commited Crimes aren't a consideration) is by far the fastest way

I guess alot of the bugs/inconsistencies will be fixed (hopefully) in V1.3...

So you do bb missions to change influence and cause a civil war for control of the system. And when the war starts, you...keep doing bb missions. If 1.3 wasn't about to pop, I'd test it out by only doing CZ work in one war sector and only doing bb missions in another...see what happens.

Gilya Law Party is now offering assassin contracts on both criminals and military personnel in an effort to liberate the system from Fed-scum. I'm gladly accepting! Also done one combat contract and will donate 40k over at Kendrick, so hope this will help the Law Party with their fight for freedom under one strong leader.

Geeze I get you guys want some rare buy you can't normally get, because standards of human decency, but you keep up the Orwellian doublespeak about it and I'm going to come try and help keep the feds in power.

that's so cool! was going to write up an article about this but looks like FD noticed what we were doing :D
and it confirms that gilya rare commodity actually exists :D
its pretty much what I was going to write (economy stifled due to high tech weapons being banned) but much better, I'm a terrible writer :D

the war continues....
anyone interested make your to Gilya and do missions and fight in conflict zones for the Gilya Law Party
Cmdr's can usually be found in CZ around Gilya 4 or in Bell Orbital

So...how many days between getting them above 70% and the civil war starting?

While that is pretty cool you guys are fighting to add more rares to the game, I don't think my character would be willing to support the production/legalization of torture devices and flesh devouring weapons-grade insects (mini-Thargoids?) ;)

I think my CMDR would stay well clear of flesh-eating insects too! But according to Patau82's thread here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=129965 the mystery Rare item should be called "Gilya Signature Weapons" which don't sound too sinister.

For all we know the "Signature Weapons" might just be guns which makes the target's handwriting really really bad.. Harmless! Come and help! ;)
