Which power sways you most?

With the discovery of passive bonuses applying to you regardless of chosen power I'm unsure who looks like a good choice to pledge to.
Who are you guys leaning towards most at this point without really knowing the stats of these unique modules you get at rank 3?

i am starting to think that it might be smart of me to support whoever ends up being the underdog, just to try and keep as many bonuses as possible open on the field.
even if i end up as hostile to the others i can take advantage of their passives.

Denton Patreus because he's evil and it's always more fun supporting or playing the bad guy in games.

Or maybe Pranav Antal. I believe he's a psycho religous nutjob and it will be fun to spread his brand of crazyness to the galaxy. Billions will suffer under him and I will help it happen.

Don't care about the modules.

This is what I was thinking.
Most people seem to be heading for the shields the first go around but now that it's a set scale as oppose to a fluctuating percentage it shouldn't be too hard to hit rank 3 regardless of how busy that power is.

Aisling and the shields, most likely. I haven't yet seen the specs on them, however, so that could change.

I figured you more for Archon Delaine, Valethar ;)

I don't see the higher ranks (4 and 5) as reliably feasible goals for me, and the modules at rank 3 hold only a passing interest for me.

So I'm leaning towards both (a) waiting and seeing how it goes for other people for at least a month, and (b) making any future choice, if any at all, based on politics and ethics - which will very likely lead me to an Alliance person or someone independent who is harmonious to the Alliance.

Archon Delaine for me.
Its a tricky one, because i want to be a smuggler, but at the same time i want to fight for Aisling. Decisions :D

Same. I am leaning towards basing my choice on more of a role playing choice or a faction that has the most fun missions if they're not all the same as it is currently.

I wish Archon Delaine actually had pirating missions but from what I read he cares more about blowing people up instead of just stealing from them :/

when it comes to Archon his passive bonus is for the blackmarket, but the bonus you get from pledging is reduction for bountys and fines.
so you don't actually have to join him if its just the smuggling bonus you are after.
perhaps you can go double agent and support Aisling, but try and sabotage any attempts she does to weaken Archon.

I thought about this, but wont i be hostile in his space?
Might try it for the challenge :p

yes you will, but the only thing that really means is that you have to keep an extra eye out for local hostile cmdr's.
minor factions still govern them selfs and you can still dock in their stations.
and hostile agent npc's you will find both in friendly and hostile space so not much difference.

You can attack another power regardless of being wanted or not if they're in your space right?

naah, this is not open war, you are more like an agent and you can only attack hostiles whit out punitive in your own space.
if you go in whit guns blazing in someone else's territory you blown your cover and things goes hot.

edit: sorry i miss read your question, yes you can attack hostiles in your own space regardless.

Where is there a list of the Powers and their bonuses?

here you go Grumpy http://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDanger...wer_control_effects_the_policies_and_bonuses/
note that i could only find the list of the passive bonuses, there is more in the beta forum somewhere whit screens of all the pledge ones
