What is the consensus in the current beta?

It's workable and generally good to go imho, no game breaking bugs that I've seen. Always room for improvement but i am sure the tweaks will continue.

They hammered through 8 betas, and fixed a huge amount.

You guys have no idea how long I've waited for this update! I've done so much trade grinding just so I could get enough money to suit up a combat vessel, and I currently can only afford a very, very budgeted combat python.

This is still exciting. Can't wait! Literally woke up to this announcement.

Having spent 50+ hours in the beta, I think it was ready for release as per beta 8. Still some small issues, and I feel the reward structure should get further tweaked but this can be done after release.

Generally they probably classify all the issues into categories like s
- Showstopper, cannot go live with this bug because it will completely mess up everyone's accounts etc.
- Serious - could go live with this but it will cause a lot of reports to come in.
- Minor - bug that will only affect some players or can be worked around easily.

Or something along those lines.... they probably then decide to go live based on lack of showstopper and very few serious left.

Re the capital ship at the end of the video - wouldn't it be cool to have an spacecraft carrier like in the Avengers assemble film to land on and do all the stuff we do at outposts. This would obviously be mobile and push out into unexplored space (not sure for what reason though!)

Question: if 1.03 goes live and the beta is shut down, how does one uninstall the defunct beta if it's not available as an option from the launcher? (Need to conserve space for an imminent system swapover from HDD to SSD.)
