1.3 - Is it safe to resume exploration

My route planner is still toast :-(

Haven't tried jumping yet.

Edit: So far jumps and the Greater Horn of Honking seem to be working OK, but lots of double DSS. And my route planner is still borked, can't seem to handle anything more than 150LY or so at a time.

There is a new crash report sending system now (maybe instead of replacement). I have no crashes, too and hey, even selling 1000 Data was now without errors (at least at the last 400).

I would say give it a try but dont kill me if I was wrong ;p
 
I went in, got a "can't connect to server" after a long wait, panicked, tried again pushing the button harder, it worked. I was back where I left few days ago, no disconnects afterwards but loads of double scans.

Answer is: push harder!
 
I was able to log back in as well. Just try again and again when you hit the error message.

After 45 min of FTL calculations, I'm now underway again. My Astromech unit tells me 19 jumps remaining.

Just checking. This was after the update today? Scanning still bonked? I parked the asp, bought a FDL with my neutron star winnings, and gasped at how fast it blew apart Imperial Couriers and Pythons. And a little bit longer against an Anaconda, but still pretty quick! Pew pew is fun, but I want exploring fixed, so I can head out again and not punch the monitor with triple/quadruple honks.

When I managed to log in, I didn't get disconnects anymore. But the obvious shortcomings in the client (eg. route calculation) haven't been fixed with this update.
I think I got some double scans, but not much.

Anyway, I'm at Sag. A now, heading towards the Great Annihilator when I finish work today.
 
I had two disconnects right after the update, switched from open to Solo and didnt have another disconnect. Yes double scans and double honks, those I can cope with by swearing at my PC, the disconnects casued physical pain though.
 
I just got the 'commander data irretrievable' message after a crash to menu. Thankfully now, no insto teleport back to the bubble - it dropped me into the system I was heading to when it crashed. Looks like they've sorted the instant teleport.
 
good to hear, much less chance for a heart attack now ;)
but yeah, double honks, double scans - even tripple scans are pretty bad, yesterday it even felt more bad than the days before, almost every scan was a double scan...
 
well since the newest patch, Im just sitting here watching a hologram of my ship spin indefinitely and cant connect. So I suppose I dont need to worry about double and triple scans or losing my data, since I cant play.

HA! I deal with it the same way. The wife always yells up, "What's wrong?"
"Oh, you know, it takes forever to scan down these little rock moons and then it fails and I have to do it again...really frustrating."
"In the future, 'space junk*' will suffice." (actual word got profanity blocked I guess...)

Also, I keep telling myself in my head that the occasional mis-scans are actually part of the game...like my equipment is only 80-90% reliable or whatever. makes me feel better somehow.
