I made my own Millennium Falcon when i was around 20-years old. :D
Made it out of cardboard and a hairdryer for engine to blow air out the back and had 2 batteries half the size of old time Mobil's to power it. It was 3 x 4 x 1/2 feet in dimension's, Shud be a nice project to keep you busy until elite 4 is ready

I thought it may take a few days to build... your dedication to Lego is undeniable..

I didnt think it would be done on the day!!! :D

I figured Friday with a few pints you'd end up with a large lego *****..

I'm guessing that not many people know, but today is my birthday and I turn 43.

I was a young 13 year old when I first played ELITE, and I cant believe that it has taken 30 years before I get to play the latest instalment.

5 hours straight is pretty hard core when you think about it, the build needs to be done before the kids get up the next day other wise your going to lose blocks.

building Lego is like a OCD Itch. each block is like a little release of endorphins, for those of you who think it for kids, get your self some Lego and put it together, the satisfaction of putting each block together is like completing a giant jigsaw, the millinium falcon (1254 pieces) took 5.5hrs to do, and the republic gunship (1175 pieces) took just under 5hrs to put together.

Some fair sci fi ships there.

I'll start my collection when the ed shops start to come out.
.

My hobby is collecting Sci-Fi ships. preferably diecast. I think I have a good collection. many have quadrupled in value since I bought them as Metal sci-fi ships are not always mass produced.

I hope Mobius doesn't mind me borrowing his thread for a moment, but I just wanted to wish Bruce Turnbull a happy birthday.
