Piracy is Broken by 1.3

I am not a pirate and never was but agree with OP and most posters.

A multi ton canister would make sense (after all a ton of paper or a ton of gold wouldnt take the same space).

Hope this will be fixed.

So you admit you have no understanding of our cause and this thread in general, at all. Good to know, good to know.

I don't think you can withdraw what you said based on context. I do not insult, I disprove other people's arguments with reason and respect every opinion equally, which you do not apparently do.

"I never insulted you but you did insult me with your insinuations."

Oh dear... It's hard to not laugh at this rate... We can play this game all day. Everything is an insinuation against me, I am insulted...

You are the one claiming that insulting people, me in particular in the most literal way is a method to prove a point, which is against forum rules and something that does not quite hold up to the moral standards you establish yourself in when you passed judgement upon this "crusade" of ours...

Yes I have no understanding as to your cause, that is correct, I do not see the point of it at all. By the way laugh all you want it is supposedly good for the soul, if you feel I have somehow broken forum rules then I honestly don't see how as I never insulted you. I disagree with you and what you are proposing as a solution to the nerf to piracy......get over it. People disagree and opinions are like a certain part of the human anatomy meaning everybody has one.

Thank you for supporting the cause, and that is a suggestion many made, but FD never responded to properly. Hopefully FD takes it into consideration along with the fixing of this issue.

Disagreement between individuals should exist as diversity should be preserved, but by insulting said opposition is prohibited by forum rules. It is quite simple, you blatantly admitted that you insulted me and that it is a valid methodology to prove a point, that is problematic.

If anything, you, good sir, is the one that needs to "get over" the concept that there will be inevitable diversity and people need to learn and educate ourselves to tolerate said diversity instead of insulting others.

You are free to voice your opinion, but the moment you find your opinion superior than another by claiming other opinions to be non-sense, that is when I need to remind you of your hubris, and your breach of the terms you agreed to when you use this forum.

I cant actually believe this limit exists. Just as I thought ED was getting better; 5 steps backwards. Needs fixing, complete crap. And I dont even Pirate.

What?!? I never admitted anything of the sort and didn't insult you, I was pointing out the fact that I found your unspoken insinuations towards me were insulting.

But I guess that is what is convenient and instinctual to you, oh my, what does that say about you...

Meh, I'll let that thought float somewhere else...

THIS is insulting.......I agree to disagree with your reasoning and will leave it at that......enjoy your senseless killing to try to prove a point that nobody outside of people reading this thread are likely to get or understand.

I have recently been pirating the NAV beacon and a normal RES in an Anarchy system. I try to combine pirating with bounty hunting. I pirate NPC ships. I use the new drones to collect cargo. They work fine but I really would love to see more than one in use at the same time. Because then it would go faster to collect cargo. Maybe unleash 3 at the same time would be better. Or 3 after one another. But anyway, what I have learned form my pirating sessions is that piracy ain´t a lucrative field of work. I think black market prices are still a little low. I suggest to introduce a random price enhancer in the black markets which boosts prices on certain goods randomly because of demand. Lets say you have stolen 3 tons of personal weapons and there is a shortage on these in the black market and prices have skyrocketed specially on these. You have a lucky pay day. And its random, next time it might be gold which are in demand. So randomness creates so much more content and diversity.
When we talk about randomness I think, well at least it seems like NAV beacons and RES sites are more diverse now. Ship spawning are more random, and ive seen on several occasions Vultures in RES sites. This is very good. Now we need FDLs, btw have anyone seen some FDLs in NAV and RES?

I like the combination of freedom, bounty hunting and pirating cargo. This is SO Elite. I usually dont earn more than 100000-200000 credits on a "raid". I have to be very lucky with cargo and bounties if I am going to get rich of this.

But I am now sharing my experience from pirating in an Anarchy, there might be better trade routes to pillage out there. But in an Anarchy I am lawless so I dont have to bother getting the feds after me. Its kill or be killed. The only thing I need to do is warrant scan my targets to see if they have bounties. I might pick up a cargo scanner soon, but for now ive just killed random ships and scooped random cargo.

I want to say its fun, just a little bit more diversity in ships in NAV/RESs and a better prices on the black market for stolen goods. Randomness is the key and persistence.

Right after you claimed that insulting people is a valid way to prove a point as a direct response to my post, which stated that ad hominem is not something that should be used as a part of an argument, you claim that you never insulted me and I am apparently insulting you.

Wh...what?

Again, if we want to play the unspoken insinuation game, we can do it all day. Anyone can claim to be offended by anything. However, when you blatantly state that insulting me was suppose to prove a point in the most literal terms, what did you expect my response to be?

I've had a rethink on Operation Scorched Earth.

Instead of killing indiscriminately I propose we make the traders drop their entire cargo regardless of ship type and then take our 20t.

Once traders see all their cargo disintegrate leaving a measly 20t I think that would be enough to get the point across.

Not a bad thought.

Good idea but I don't think anyone could get even one trader to drop all their cargo.

When I said insults prove your point it was after that post above that I quoted that I found insulting towards me, I am over it and done discussing the point. If you thought I was insulting you then you have my apologies for that but I don't agree with your strategy of indiscriminate killing to "prove a point" and that won't change. To each their own......my view on the matter is my own and others is theirs, I just wouldn't be surprised if things come back to bite you in the rear in the end, if piracy gets associated with pk'ing and gets nerfed even harder than it already has been.

And that solves everything.

Point taken, and the latest posts reflect the sentiment you are conveying, we definitely take consequences into consideration and will vary the severity of our actions base on that. We aren't here to destroy a game, we are here to fight for what rightfully belong to piracy as a profession.

That is akin to saying that a disadvantaged population in society should not fight for equality. Again, pre 1964 US anyone? Birmingham Alabama anyone?

So if you disagree with the president you feel you should take that out on everyone else? Great logics there. Pre 1964 is really awesome stuff to live by.

I hear there's a violin playing for you sad pirates. Us top earning explorers are playing.

Are you seriously trying to compare piracy complaints with civil rights? My lord.

Regardless, it's akin to setting people on fire while chanting for equal rights if you want to use such a flawed analogy. Commendable.

Well, you're not wrong, but i just don't see many traders complying.

Me neither but atleast we're giving them a chance.

Imagine if FD released a bug fix for trading that put a cap on system scans so the maximum you could earn from scans from any full system was 50k and then FD said it was by design even after numerous bug reports, beta testing and forum threads. What would you do then?
