I'll probably have a go with CQB though I can't help feeling that the people who know the game would be better testing it than those that don't - that said testing doesn't seem to fix much anyway - so not being really sure what to go with at the moment so I think this should suffice...

Every game not designed for PC first in mind so 90% of the games, which is the sad reality: Witcher 3 is a game designed for pc and then ported to consol and you can clearly see the diffrence between that game and say dragon age

We've always said that we will look at other platforms after the PC and Mac release and of course we want to be successful on every platform we support. That includes continued development on PC as well as moving onto new platforms like the Xbox One.

A Space Sim is a Space Sim no matter the Plattform, what Plattform a game runs on does not mean anything for the Genre or the Game itself. Its just a freakin Plattform the Game runs on.

I don't understand People, all that silly Console war and PC Master Race crap is so stupid. People who play on Consoles are Gameres just like you and me and Consoles are just as good to play Games on as the PC is, there is no superiority for any side.

The devs have always stated that they would be creating this game as a multiplatform game..including Xbox and PS4. The fact they made sure that it was enjoyable with a game controller should have been a clue...many of the UI choices should have also rang some bells.

All that being said....my only question is 'So what?' How does the game change from what we have now? I see very little to none. Oh noes! The game will be overflowing with trolls, griefers, and ats. It already has that in spades...according to a lot of the denizens of these dark forums. Somebody is going to leave the game because of...consoles? Meh. They were going to leave over something...if this did it...it saves them from themselves and they can play a more enjoyable game for themselves rather than sit here and torture themselves.

I see nothing but bonus points and huge 'cheives for everyone.

For every person who insults FD or moans about CQC being on XB1 first - Start at £0.01 charge for CQC on PC and add one (1) pence for every complaint.
In two (2) weeks CQC will net you guys so much cash you could have a company holiday for two (2) weeks ;)

(And as payment for the inner workings of my frugal mind, I get CQC free ;) )

Let's face it; it's a console game, so there's going to be a "Quick Match" mode that instantly transports you there.

We can't move a stored ship, but there'll be a quick match... ;)

No, he's an unfortunate soul who feels that it's in some way appropriate to "roleplay" a minor character from a work of 80s pulp fiction in the forums of an Internet Spaceships game. I know, right?

For me this is just flushing out how the civilians might have fun. Commanders from all over human space gather to blast each other in combat arenas for cash prizes while the normal people get to forget about their day.

On a side note: As a primarily Solo player this doesn't bother me. I'm having fun in my Vulture. I also don't partake in Power Play as I don't feel like I'm ready for that.

Will homing mines work in the corridors? They would be very useful for this. I'm happy to see Elite coming to another platform and wish it every success. More money for FD -> more money for Elite development.

Had no idea why he was like that or what he was on about.

We know that Star Citizen is getting its(very tentative) release in 2016, the critical reception to Elite:D PC edition also hasn't been exactly overwhelming, phrases like inch deep, mile wide got bandied around a lot at launch and even a big update like Powerplay hasn't generated any notable positive buzz outside the ED circles. It's not been bad but most journalists seem to have given it more of a passing nod than anything else.

We also know that Star citizen has out and out said as far as it's concerned Consoles are not going to be a thing for that game, they don't reckon the current generation could even handle it(looking at their expected Hard drive requirements almost absolutely not).

This obviously left a market gap in terms of a console space sim which ED is now filling, the question is if ED will try to make this their primary market focus now in order to mitigate the effects of upcoming competitors that are going to snatch a lot of players from the PC version and have we as PC players been duped into bankrolling what might become a mainly console game(something which would never ever have sold if it was pitched on kickstarter that way).

Got to pick you up this here. Not sure where you got the luke warm critical reception from, the games is hitting 80 on metacritic which is a thoroughly decent score (unless anything below 8/10 sucks in your eyes... in which case have my pity.)

I'm sorry but could you clarify? Does that mean you intend to continue with the PC as the primary development platform(i.e new features will be beta tested on PC), there will be simultaneous development on PC and consoles/new platforms(new features appear on both at the same time for testing and release), there will be some kind of asynchronous development(where some features are tested/released on Pc first and others on other platforms) or the consoles will become the primary dev platform?
