It's the same as the DVD that came within the Premium Collectors box but it comes with a white plastic card with a product key under a scratch off surface. Purely a souvenir with an added delay due to waiting for it to arrive so that you can get your product key and download it from the store anyway.
Temporary steam sale. Frontier has decided to reflect it on their website too.
And back at the number one position on the top seller list again I see!
And while on the subject of sales...
Elite have seen a "slight" bump today in terms of new backers coming on board...
For reference...that first bump to the left was the Steam launch (10,202 backers)...the last dot is today (26,841 backers so far). They've added roughly 1,300 new backers every half hour during the last couple of hours and I usually end the day at 10 o'clock in the evening (Sweden) so if we add that on top they will end up with roughly 28,000 new players today.
(In case you're wondering...that blank area was me on vacation.)
EDIT: Update...yep, they ended up at 28,224 new backers today.

Wow, that's a impressive increase!
I guess total sales must be very close to 600,000 now which would be very promising according to the scenarios laid out in January's trading statement.
591,927 according to the backers app page to be exact, but probably a bit more than that since those numbers only reflect people who have bought it AND registered an account with FD so they can play. Granted that will obviously be pretty much everyone, but there will always be a small number of players that buys it without having time to install it (and register) right away, which means that the actual numbers probably lags a bit due to this.

Now £29.99 as opposed to £39.99, for today and tomorrow only, 47 hours or so after this post. Go get those Steam Keys folks if you don't already have the game.
Buy it on the FD store and give FD the money instead of paying Valve 30% on this and every future purchase you make from FD, even if it's from their store.

It seems that with PB1 I'm not allowed to visit that page. Unless I'm doing something wrong.
Could perhaps another PB1 check if he/she can access the page?

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to get in there...it was set up before they launched their own store so presumably only the Kickstarter backers are listed in that database.

Just if someone wants to buy it or have friends that want buy it, now its the time on Steam.
Rather odd that Frontier only offers 10% off.
I already spend much more on merchandise and in game coloring to support the game, but recently i doubt Frontier needs that kind of support.
